T-0164 Hartington

Hartington site 0164 showing "failed/current" since 1300ish.

Tgid 6000-Radio Techs affiliating to the Norfolk tower 0142. Unknown when Hartington will be back online, I presume the techs are heading up north to fix the problem.

Is there a N-WIN tower alive in the Omaha area? Heard a trooper earlier today calling Lincoln was at the 132rd and F St area in Omaha, will be 10-10 truck inspections.

That would put the trooper near Millard Lumber/L Street Marketplace area.
I have not heard a control channel around Omaha for N-WIN.
A previous post mention they use them for the pa. wondering if the trooper grabbed the wrong mic and the radio was affiliating to the Lincoln tower.
What talkgroup did you hear this on?

Can anyone tell me if this is a p25 standard system or a mot type ll/p25 system and what the difference is?
It is a P25 system.
Mixed mode is Motorola type2 with digital voice (3600 buad cc)
P25 system only has digital voice (9600 buad cc)
What scanner do you have?

Just program in as a P25 standard system. Add the sites and talkgroups. You are all set. Keep it in ID search mode that way you can find new talkgroups.

Here's the latest report on the Jones Creek station. Next meeting is late July. Still no sign of FCC approval or application in the database.

All sites except Jones Creek and Cedar Bluffs are fully operational on the Radio system. Jones
Creek and Cedar Bluffs are waiting for frequency assignments. The antenna order and installation for
Cedar Bluffs is on hold until frequencies are complete.

They don't have a public database like the FCC, so your best bet is do a scan of the Fed Freqs from 162 to 174. There are other services in there but this the easiest so you don't miss anything. I do this and find some things occasionally.

I was figuring that I'd have to run a cc search on the VHF fed frequencies.

Also, FWIW, With today and yesterday's big band openings, I was able to receive 7 different NWIN control channels. Including Beatrice which was received on an HT. Normally this is good. However, the control channels I were receiving were on frequencies assigned to Law Enforcement Assistance, Motor Vehicle Carrier Enforcement, Department of Natural Resources Enforcement officers, and many other well-used frequencies (many carrier-squelch) in Iowa.

Howdy, JJK and all!

Yep - I've been scanning 162.575 up to 180.000 on a daily basis during my trips to and from work. No P25 CC's as of yet, but there are a few active paging channels in that range - POCSAG and Motorola FLEX appear to be the dominant formats.

Plus, I haven't yet heard anything out of Otoe county, either, but I'll promptly announce the very first P25 bits to be heard when they get on the air.

Stay cool, everyone! Tough to do in this weather, but I hear there's a "cool-down" coming.... lower 90's off-and-on over the next few days! Woo-Hoo!

I noticed tonight that my 996xt is displaying SID:0144h-0160 on 155.460Mhz which happens to be one of the trunking freq. for OTOE County ,I'm wondering if this is going to be the control channel for OTOE Co. since site 160 is not listed in the N-WIN list of sites. My 996xt is showing 1 signal bar and I live in northern Bellevue which is about a 45 minute drive to neb.city.
