one question i have is i set air port channels up and thsi happens on, lots of thing i hear soome are clear other people talking and stic over rides there voice whhile talking its like in back round the stadic how i fix this thansk i have sset sql to, were dont make stadic noise whats going on thansk and how, i fix it? ray

Set your squelch back far enough to keep out the static noise. As far as monitoring aircraft, its tricky. You should be able to pick up aircraft all day long. Some will be very strong signals, some will be weaker, and sometimes it sounds like people are talking over other people. Thats normal for your situation . If you can get O'Hare and Midway it will be some interesting conversations. Do not expect all communications to be perfectly clear. Greg
