thanks for the link. That is the exact isolator I bought from Amazon and returned. Perhaps my buzz/hum is caused by something else.

Can the firmware be copied from the SD card? If so, can it then be copied to another card and put in the radio updating the firm ware? Is this possible?

If you copy the BIN file before you update the 1st scanner you should be able to do that. I believe once it loads into the scanner it is deleted from the card.

Sentinel uses a protocol called ftp to grab files from the Uniden server. Ftp requires a username and password so no links are available. Of course, since ftp uses plain text, anyone with technical skills can easily discover the username and password.

My 200 accepted the update but my 100 will not, still indicating version1.10, even with Sentinal 2.03. Will check later

FWIW I installed the new firmware on my 200 and haven't noticed any difference in performance or audio quality as some have reported.

Sentinel won't download the SDS100 firmware update because the latest SDS100 bin file doesn't match the correct file name format. The most recent SDS100 firmware file is SDS100_V1_21_00.bin. Note the spelling. If you rename the file to SDS-100_V1_21_00.bin, the SDS100 will gladly upgrade to the latest version. Hopefully Uniden fixes this small issue quickly.

I got my SDS100 in April and I am already on 1.21.00 - I never tried to update the firmware since April. Interesting - must have been a unit with the modified hardware design.

I did the 200 update and try the 100. Nothing on 100 it did say it is up to date. I did find this guessing some server issue?

Not as of now. I don't know if anyone try to change the name sds200_v1_21_00 to sds100_v1_21_00? I haven't tried it not sure if it will brick the radio or something.
