I had a bunch of hits on TG's 4675 - 4701 the other day when I ran Unitrunker. A few of them were encrypted, but I did not indicate which ones they were in my notes. I also noticed two of the talkgroups (not in that range listed above), that had what I suspect to be Roselle Park Police Radio ID's, and those were full time encrypted. I will run Unitrunker on it for a few days and collect data...

Make sure to send a copy of that data to NoSoup4U and his ID project. As to Roselle Park, one of their detectives was sporting an APX7000XE this morning. Never got around to asking him about it though.

There's also a very good possibility that these are police interoperability channels figuring the supposed users and the fact that police departments utilizing the ICS in Union County have been utilizing the I/O channels for special operations.

There's becoming way to many users for the frequencies allocated...

TG 4675: 2015001, 2015004, 2015023, 2015040 - Full encryption.

Crystal ball says "...RPPD goes dark on the NJICS". That's all that was said, didn't mention a full time switch. But the evidence is mounting, and and does fit the timeline of municipalities that was informally discussed last year.

Some testing going on now on Statecom 5, tech just said they are putting in a new console for Roselle Park.

I heard the exact some thing earlier today monitoring on the Union Site as well. I'm still gathering data from Unitrunker, but as others have stated already, looks like Roselle Park Police will be Full-time encrypted based on the testing so far with the radio ID's that have come on the air.

AES-256 secured
1.2 sq miles and needs to go encrypted on their dispatch channel. I’m sorry but that’s laughable.

Since I talked to my contact and from 15:00h today when the barrage of Roselle Park ID’s started, 158.835 has been dead silent.

Switch flipped. 4675 = Roselle Park Police Dispatch, i2015004 is the dispatch console.

Au revoir Park.

10:53h - TG4627 i2017003 (Springfield), i2017062 (Springfield), i2017102 (Springfield) - CLEAR (Law)

Also, I ran Unitrunker over night. TG4677 appears to be Roselle Park Police 2, TG4679 has hits from two Roselle Park radios but I'm not sure on function yet, though I suspect RPFD Fireground.

Similar, lower volume......

Plainfield averages a shooting per month. Roselle Park hasn't had one in the last decade. Nor have they had a targeted attack or stalking of an officer. There is no event on record in Roselle Park where a scanner was used to aid a crime. It's not similar at all. Their only major challenge is traffic violators with small amounts of narcotics and outstanding warrants on the "West Fields Corridor", aka: NJ-28. What it's about is controlling the information available to the press.

Back to the discussion: TG4627, additional Springfield ID's appearing, in the clear. Sounds like Springfield PD.
