I'm noticing a few new TGs popped up in the database on the NJICS under Cape May County fire. Are these active now on the Cape May County site or is this to be built out over time?

I was going through some older files on my computer a few weeks ago and found this. Not sure what ever happened with it, but it was passed at the time without objection from first responders.

I have no information regarding this but I do know that they are building the Police Dept. a brand new headquarters behind their old one. Maybe with the new building they'll get new radio equipment.

Clifton PD is moving to NJICS. Looking at Feb timeframe

Clifton Police switch to NJICS is imminent!!!
Start looking and monitoring for new talk groups or the testing talk groups on NJICS West Orange site with radio IDs starting with 1602xxxx. They can be testing already, however I have not monitored activity yet. The more "ears" on this the better chance of getting this information.
They have recently been issued Harris XL multi band portable radios and a few cars have Harris mobiles. Since these radios are multi band they can be using the new radios on their current VHF channels.

When the switch is indeed made to the NJICS all law enforcement communications will be "E". (I am in a position to know this).
Remaining services are staying where they are VHF/UHF for FD, EMS. OEM & Public Works. The police VHF channels will be for back up of NJICS and local use.

10-4 on that Ken. Sucks they’re going E, and moving it up here into Passaic County.

Being I have a 996p2, I can monitor for them on West Orange when I’m mobile. I’m sure they will also have affiliation rights on Ramapo(which I will also be watching right from home). Also could watch for VHF simulcasting during their switch over.

I'm looking forward to submitting encrypted talkgroups to the database that no one will be able to monitor anyway.:unsure:

I heard Livingston PD got their delivery of NJICS radios, and are awaiting programming. Just wondering about any on- air situations
I guess them both...I was talking about Clifton, but assume by “coincidence” both of them will probably be switching over at nearly the same time. Both E, ouch.
