Do you think these could connect to the new KSP system that is going up and that they are just doing testing on it?
I don't think that is the case for these particular talk groups at this time. My personal thinking is that this system will at some time be connected to the state system though.

It was something about an officer got struck in wilder (Campbell Co.) they are pursuing a vehicle and that they needed immediate assistance. They also kept giving updates on the drivers location.
That would seem to sound like an announce group. When the dispatcher talks on the ATG (Announce Talk Group) it is heard by all radio with the ATG programmed in it. This is the same way the Hamilton County "all county broadcast" works.

My guess, having not really heard it enough myself, is that 60001 is for Boone County, 60002 is for Kenton County and 60003 is for Campbell County. It's also possible all three of these could be tied together so radios programmed with any of the three will hear the same announcement.

Thanks for the help! One last question, do you have an updated channel chart? I would like to compare. I know most of them are uploaded to the DB but you never know.

As of today I saw an unknown TGID for the NKY RCS System.

Unknown TGID:4984
Does anyone have any information on that TG. Thank you.
That would be Secure Interop TG, I can't give anymore than that.

Anyone have any information on this new RD-ID? I’ve only seen this RD-ID on channel 59 SOUTH, coming from a dispatchers radio.

RD-ID: 50031
SOURCE: 59 COUNTY DISPATCH
RD-ID SEEN ON: 59 SOUTH

I only show 5 hits from that radio ID, first seen 12/07/2020, last seen 01/28/2021 a year ago tomorrow. The last talk group I show that radio on was 08 PRIM 4500.

When did/have you seen this RID?

I saw it as soon as I made the post I have seen it a few days prior to that as well and currently. I’ll do some more monitor today and see if I see it today. And as of my eyes I have only seen it on 59 SOUTH.

Well that's interesting, my system runs 24/7 and the last hit it logged from that ID was a year ago. Wonder what's going on with that.

I'm having some issues scanning this system with my SDS100. It's a new unit, so I'm not sure if it's a scanner issue, or a program issue. I can't pick up anything from the system. I've gotten at least some stuff from Ohio MARCS, but cant get anything from RCS. I programmed from the Sentinel software using that database. If anyone could help me out, I would be very appreciative.

@Hop763 - I've tried in both Mt. Washington and in Highland Heights.
Last night, I erased everything on the scanner and reprogrammed it. After that, I could get Kenton South PD, Kenton Fire Dispatch, and Covington PD. I couldn't get anything from Campbell County or Boone County. I assume Boone is because of distance but have no clue why Campbell wouldn't pick up.

It’s a 3 county system but All sites are useable depending were you are at. Each county has there own frequencies, so make sure that all 3 county frequencies are in your favorite list with your system. Campbell co police are all encrypted. Fire is not.
Kenton Co police you will only hear there dispatch. The other talk groups are encrypted. Fire is not. Boone is the same way.
After you install the systems in your favorite list you will need to go into the scanner and turn on the systems you want to scan and make sure the service types are on. You can go on youtube to learn how to use your scanner. There’s a lot of info to know how to use it.

Having issues programming my BCD996T. I have entered a new system for Type 2/P25. I have set 1 site per county with their frequencies. I have entered all the Kenton Talkgroups that I want, yet receving no traffic. I am able to vreify radio traffic with my neighbors fire pager.

Any suggestions would be greatly aprrecaited

Buy a new scanner or get an SDR. Your scanner is P25 Phase 1 (FDMA) only, NKYRCS is Phase 2 (TDMA).

I picked up a new talk group of 10500 it’s appears to fall into the Campbell County Interoperability channels. Anyone have any Idea on what this TG is?

Theoretically 10500 would be outside the allocation if they were still following the statewide plan of 500 talkgroups per county. 10500 would technically belong to Carlisle County. I don't think there's anything that says they MUST abide by that rule on this system though.
