I guess I should clarify. I have no idea whether they actually have a problem, but for us scanner folks the current site is very weak on scanner.
Unfortunately that's of no concern to the system admins & engineers. As long as the subscriber radios pick it up fine, that's all that matters to them

Just curious, can you get Devault site from there?
That was the first site it locked onto. I have all the sites loaded in acting like a “roam” so I wasn’t able to select them. Not sure if it would have grabbed the devault vhf or 800. I thought for sure it would have grabbed the port Clinton site but I was pretty close to Neversink MTN so that could have been why.
I live in Mt Penn, rx the Port Clinton, Ellendale, Cornwall, Devault (VHF) sites with a RS discone on my 436. I don't rx Morgantown as I'm against the mountain to my South.

I receive the DeVault system but never receive anything other than PA State Police that can not be unencrypted...Does anyone else receive anything else?
Both Devault VHF and 800 have occasional traffic from PennDOT and PGC, as well as rare visits from DEP, DOH and PUC. The comms are not all day long, but they are fairly frequent at times. It all depends on who is affiliated to the site. Sometimes, PennDOT won't shut up. I have a radio dedicated to recording local STARNet sites I can hear (including the Devaults). My favorite is when I forget to turn the volume down at night and PennDOT crews go out for some overnight work. Nothing like getting woken up by guys singing and yelling "Heeeeeyyyy Joe! You out theeeeeerreee?" into their radio at 3AM.
A ton of penndot and Game Commission SE dispatch, but at home, im listening to the Devault vhf ..

I've picked up Devault 800 from Pottstown before with my G5. I've noticed a variance in sites received at the same spots. From Eagleview in Chesco I've gotten both Devaults, Morgantown, Hibernia, and even Pocopson. Last week heading to and from Shady Maple along 322 I even picked up Red Lion and Reeser's Summit 800 sites. From home in Drexel Hill it's mostly Philly 800 and occasionally Philly VHF depending on which CC it locks onto.
In terms of traffic most of what I get is PGC and with some Penn DOT. It seems like not all of Penn DOT District 6 has switched over as I've mainly only heard the Montco channels with a couple test counts on the main Philly channel. Hopefully by the time we get our first snow storm they'll all be switched over. I've also noticed the safety patrol tow trucks don't have any antennas on them other than the stereo antenna so not sure if they're no longer using radios or just in the process of switching out.
