The following frequencies were recently licensed in the Erie area:

Erie, Erie, WRAM426, ERIE80, 851.42500, 851.71250, 851.98750, 852.63750

Erie, Edinboro, WRAM426, ERIE92, 851.45000, 852.13750, 852.76250, 852.97500

Any indication what their specific use will be?

Hey all, I have something here in the Pittsburgh area. I have 161.825 P25 NAC code 94E on my TRX-1. On my 396XT,on control channel only shows a system ID of 0942H-0120. I was just doing some searching and found 155.730 P25, system ID 0942H-0134. The 155.730 was not on the air yesterday. Any ideas, or thoughts? Part of the new VHF P25 system? I have not heard any voice traffic as of yet.

We need some of you southwesterners to trek up into that NW frontier and get site info for the remaining locations in the air up there. We are missing a few. Somebody make a steelhead run.

I would not expect much or any voice traffic until more toward spring in the SW. Initially, most of what appears will likely be encrypted PSP. Over time, clear comms From other agencies will start to show up. But, nobody is on as aggressive a timeline as PSP with purchasing new gear, so it might take some time.

Are you able to analyze that Pittsburgh cc to get additional frequencies?

Nothing on any of the 800 stuff. N8JSW that washington site is in very northern washington co. Plus looking at the license the ERP is half of actual transmit power so I suspect that site will not penetrate down to WV.

I checked the Beaver and the Butler sites and nothing heard. I see the sites advertising neighbors that aren't there yet. I also saw nothing on any of the Allegheny 800 freqs.

I added the Portersville and Claysville sites last night and have been sitting on them looking for traffic and confirmation of other channels besides the control and alternates.

I also saw the signal on the 161.825 CC but could not decode, it was weaker than the other two Wash sites. It's hard to say where it is, since Portersville says it is neighbor site 20 and Scenery Hill says it's 24 so it may not be in Washington. I can just barely see the waveform on my SDR from up high in midwest Beaver and Jeffm77 said he decoded it as site 20. I think I am calling it as Kittanning since there is only one freq on the license currently.

And tonight I got a decode with an alternate CC of 151.0325 so looks like it is Woodbine in Butler. Neighbors of 5, 19, 21, 22, 23.

With regard to the 161.825, I guess keep a lookout for use of 157.225, as well. They were VHF marine ch 84, part of the public coast group of freqs allowed for inland area public safety use. Freqs for marine ch 25 could also appear: 157.250/161.850.

I have watching the 800 freqs that recently were licensed. So far, nothing to report.

I'm also listening in Erie. Nothing beyond lots of encrypted channels and the Game Commission in the clear. Hoping to hear DCNR soon, before Presque Isle State Park's busy season.

I'm a little confused, since I thought this was going to be a VHF system?

It sure would be useful if people who actually are copying / verifying online sites would paste the peers and their associated CC frequency. P25 systems broadcast the peers and the peers' control channel frequency. I know, not everybody is using software to decode, but for those who are please share the peers for any sites you pick up and the CC frequency specified for those peers as well.

FYI - peers / neighbors - - I'm referring to the transmitted list of neighboring sites.

Mike
