As of yesterday Site 3.149 is now online. Went up on Hanlon Hill this AM and got a little more info.

From DSD+ Channel activity:

Ch TX Freq Pri Target
4-826 152.065 CC
4-1102 152.755 SCC

NAC: 944

NL:1.113,1.116,1.124,1.125,1.126

I was unable to find a STARNet license. Maybe tomorrow when I have more time I can get a better read on it

Based on that site number, it looks like another deployable site (in addition to the previously identified 3.150 800MHz site)...probably placed in service to fill a need until a permanent site can be licensed and put in service.

McKean isn't the only place to have done this, but why are there talkgroups named "direct"? To me, a "direct" channel would be something off-network that allows short range comms regardless of network connectivity. It bugs me when this term and "talk-around" are used on talkgroups.

Will these talkgroups above be shared for fire and ems? Interesting that there are 17 of them when zones are typically set up for 16 channels. I'm curious how the radios are zoned and whether any simplex channels will be employed.

Any word on the law enforcement talkgroups, yet? I understand they'll be encrypted.
There is also an ALERT talkgroup that the Fire/EMS dispatch audio will be simulcast over with the VHF conventional paging much like Warren is doing.

I still get that 3.150 and thought they might be related. That will save me a trip to Tioga County.

They may have a VHF SOW for areas that are all VHF, and an 800 SOW for the areas that are all 800.

853.1875 was also reported on Site 3.150 in the forums in the past.

Yes since the marine freqs they are using have no matching repeater input.
I don't mean to be "that guy" lol, but actually the 161 MHz PC (Public Coast Stations, Auctioned) frequencies are almost always paired with 157 MHz inputs which are 4.6 MHz lower than the corresponding 161 MHz output (e.g. 157.25 would be the expected input to 161.85). In fact it's one of the few VHF allocations that do have standardized offsets, whereas the Part 90 VHF band is a free for all when it comes to repeater pairs.

So then why the need for 153.755 and 155.46 as inputs on the Allegheny VHF cell? Tbh I'm not sure it's been proven that they are being used as inputs on that cell. Sure, the licensed radius suggests so, but that's speculative. It's worth noting that there are other VHF MO-only YW licenses, such as WQVA470, which may or may not correspond directly to trunked sites/cells.
