McKean County law enforcement has been cut over to the STARNet P25 system.

Anyone seeing any new sites online in McKean County? I would expect something additional in the Bradford area given that's the most developed area in the county. If county units are online, any additional tower sites must be up and running. Just curious, because if you look at the site list in the database, we are missing 3-002 and 3-004, still.

According to the WQUG532 license, Rew and Bradford form a 2 subsite simulcast on the following set of common frequencies:

151.265
154.68
154.755
154.2125

So far only the two control channels have been confirmed, no one has submitted the two traffic channels or even definitively confirmed that both subsites are active. Stands to reason that if the county is now active on the system, both of these subsites are also active to provide the necessary coverage. The state filed the buildout notification back in May, and they're usually pretty faithful with those.

tl;dr 1.104 is almost certainly a simulcast cell now, should probably update the name in the database to McKean Simulcast and add the two traffic channels.

As of yesterday Site 3.149 is now online. Went up on Hanlon Hill this AM and got a little more info.

From DSD+ Channel activity:

Ch TX Freq Pri Target
4-826 152.065 CC
4-1102 152.755 SCC

NAC: 944

NL:1.113,1.116,1.124,1.125,1.126

I was unable to find a STARNet license. Maybe tomorrow when I have more time I can get a better read on it

Aren't you supposed to put the tl;dr first? ;)

Even though @GTR8000 reminded us of the McKean simulcast licensing, the fact remains that we have a couple gaps in site numbers...either sites in development or on the air hiding in plain site.

Indeed, I suspect 3.2 and 3.4 are lurking somewhere. Has anyone seen 3.2 or 3.4 in a peer/neighbor list? Maybe time for everyone to re-check your local sites for anything new/different.

PS - It's also worth remembering that 3.6 Sewickley Heights (ALLE67) was previously 1.28, so that site number may've also been reused somewhere. It's the only vacant Site ID in RFSS 1.

TIOGA03 would seem to have an interesting new neighbor:

Current site: BEE00.942-1.124 TIOG03
BEE00.942-1.124 neighbor: Site BEE00.942-1.126; CC=4-1250 153.1250 TIOG42
BEE00.942-1.124 neighbor: Site BEE00.942-3.2; CC=5-40 161.8000
BEE00.942-1.124 neighbor: Site BEE00.942-1.125; CC=4-1872 154.6800 TIOG06
BEE00.942-1.124 neighbor: Site BEE00.942-1.122; CC=4-1490 153.7250 POTT12

Well, there's one. Spotted way back in April. Peer to both TIOG03 and POTT12, but not seen further east. I'll add it to the DB as a NE Potter Co site...although the location isn't totally known. If anyone is up there hunting deer soon, bring a radio and hunt this site, too.

Word on the street is that there's an 800 MHz site planned for Wind Gap (Northampton/Monroe border) as well, so.

New PennDot TG 11210. Being used by D12-5 Westmoreland Co. crews. This TG is not listed in the RRDB nor the TG research group.

I have found some talk groups not listed but are found
well if you can identify then please submit or post in forums so people can be on lookout for. The database is driven by user submissions.

Well I heard D12 Westmoreland Co units using it, so it must be in their radio also.
It is possible that the original designation was changed and the TG was reassigned for another use. PennDOT has many hundreds of talkgroups and there do seem to have been some changes along the way leading to oddities like this popping up.
