Looks like the decision was made Wednesday to sell it. Don't know why everyone is wasting their time with this?

His classified add is kind of bogus...
He says unopened box and that it has the DMR and NXDN upgrades...

I’m not going to speculate as to whether the poster was trying to muddy the waters on whether it was a truly “new” scanner, box unopened. However, if the poster purchased the scanner from a dealer such as ScannerMaster or Police Scanner Outlet (aka Bearcat Warehouse), the purchase may have included adding the upgrades by the dealer before shipping to the original purchaser. Adding upgrades requires physical access to the scanner both for determining the electronic serial number via the scanner menu as well as keying in the upgrade key.

After “installing the upgrades”, the seller would have then repositioned any items removed from the box, as well as the now “Optimized” scanner, then resealed the original box. As far as the original purchaser is concerned, the scanner was still ‘new in box’, hence that may be why it was posted for sale as being ‘unopened box’, since he had not opened what appeared, to him, the original OEM packaging.

I understand that, and you've done everything you can for this guy. He's going to sell it because he doesn't understand everything some have sent to him to read. I'm not sure if more is going on with him based on some of his postings, but the scanner world/trunking/P25/DMR/NXDN is over his head. You tried...

basically u don't know what u are talking about . it has dmr and nxdn it will trunk track no i'm though about selling it ... but your ur information it is now deocoding analog just fine so i mus know something about what i'm doing, with the help of others of course. so if u have nothing informative to say don't say anything besides bash my questions. have a nice day . oh btw did u ever figure out the OFT problem by yourslef>?

u are totally wrong i bought it from uniden i got the receipt to prove it. not everyone is a lier

I run a fleet of SDS200's SDS100's 536's 436's 996p2's 325p2's BCD160 and BCD260 all but the x60's do P25 Phase 1 and 2
with no issues.
Your best bet is to.
1. Start over and not import from any scanner.
2. Use you PROSCAN and build your Scanner File for your 325p2.
3. Are both Scanners using the same type antenna?

i did try starting over and programming it fresh with proscan . imade sure to use the 325p2 version of proscan to both scaners are connected the same antenna i said that once already

I have looked over the post and you never answered our question.
Did you upgrade the firmware in the 325p2?
Just changing the 536 file name and changing the Scanner type to 325p2 and programming is not the way to do this.

yes i upgraded the firware the day i first got it i reinstalled proscan for the 325p2 as well.

yes first was gonna go with amazon made the order then read that they could be refurbished so i cancelled my amazon order and went with uniden .. not hard to figure out if one knows that facts

a guess a person can't decide to buy the dmr and nxdn at a later time it must be bought when the scanner is new i guess.

here is ur zip from the 325 from proscan

I have reviewed your 325p2 proscan file. Here are some suggestions:

• Put various 325p2 settings back to the default
  • Turn battery save off - I have seen reports that this setting can result in erratic behavior.
  • Turn P25 low pass filter off
  • Turn off priority scan

Your programming contains 31 systems with 35 sites and 248 channels. While I don't see anything obvious, going through the file can be compared to looking for a missing comma in War and Peace. From your comments, it is not clear to me that the hpe files represent what is actually programmed in the 536. I simply don't have confidence that the 325p2 and 536hp you are comparing to have the same programming. There are too many variables to track.

It sounds like you have started to start over and program by importing systems from RR rather than using your 536hp programming. I think this is your best approach. Your 536 sentinel hpe files are not the best place to start. Start small and take it one step at a time. Program one system at a time. Identify what frequencies seem to be working and what traffic is missed. I suggest focusing on systems that are nearby before trying to tackle distant systems. Solve one problem before moving on.

i even started over and reimported every thing i listen to from radio reference into proscan for the 325 i used utilites to make sure everything was tuned right. it made things worse instead of teh 325 just scanning it would start making screaming and roughing noise . i deliberlty and made sure not to add dmr or nxdn until i seen that this scanner would at least decode analog like my 536 and sds100 would

Again - do you have the dmr and nxdn upgrades installed? This sounds like you are either receiving a digital signal on a channel programed as analog - for possibly an encrypted signal.

when i bought this 425 i thouht well at least one thing it will do better than the dma type scanners is decode analog better boy i was wrong

Focus on getting the 'easy stuff' working first - then move on to the more distant systems.

I SAID THIS WHEN I COULD NOT GET THE SCANNER TO DECODE ANALOG . NOW IT DOES.
