Maybe we should start a long drawn out thread complaining that the ads are gone.
ok...:ROFLMAO:
I wish I was pullin in enough dough to disregard 10K a month cause a few internet blabbers said they don't like it
Props to Admin, it's not often to get the level of involvement of ownership for a site vs revenue

** Offer not valid in all areas. Your mileage may vary. We reserve the right to show ads to people who are mean to us our our staff. Objects may appear closer than they actually are. No dark theme will be available
You forgot: Close cover before striking. Always higher west of the Rockies. I am sure there are a few more.

I'm a new retiree on this site re entering the scanner hobby (from the 90's...but there is a LOT of ham radio concepts that carry over to maximize reception and success so I read these areas as well). With "retirement project" in mind I began internet research and everything kept coming BACK to RR's archive of forums, databases, info AND members willing to share concepts, ideas, opinions and solutions...I knew I'd found a home and immediately signed up for a Premium Membership to support this incredible site and community of radio enthusiasts....and give something back. Outstanding position on ads; I too was taken in by that START graphic but caught myself in time. Total class and going above-and-beyond for the community.

RadioReference.com is pleased to announce that we are retiring, deprecating, and removing all advertising on RadioReference.com, with the exception of our partnership banner ads and links with Scanner Master.

We expect to immediately disable all ads within the next 15 days and have this transition completed by 5/15/2022.

There will be no changes to Broadcastify.com - ads will continue to remain there.

If you find value with RadioReference as a community and resource, we hope you'll support the site by becoming a premium subscriber. Benefits of being a subscriber are oulined here:

Sounds Good!

Perhaps I'll celebrate by renewing my subscription!;)(y)

Nice. Seems all the criticism from the ad block post and the effective anti-adblock circumvention features of uBlock origin were heard in the original thread.

So what you're saying is I can turn off my VPN, IP spoofer, Pi-hole and Mozilla AD blocker extensions ? Dammit, I was having fun logging in from different Countries. Kind of like those ham bones and their QSL cards.

So you have signed up to be a premiere member?
He is a premium member... by way of being a feed provider. EDIT --->Not sure if that is still a feed provider benefit.

Being a feed provider still gets you a premier subscription across the RR platform, I'm a feed provider and get this benefit, but despite that I still hold a paid subscription because I use RR daily and see the benefit in it. Additionally, once @blantonl made this announcement I renewed my subscription for 720 days (2 years).

Being a feed provider still gets you a premier subscription across the RR platform,
Thanks for confirming that... the reason I was unsure is this paragraph in the Broadcastify FAQS:

This FAQ section at Broadcastify is dated September 17, 2021:

Will feed providers receive a free premium subscription on RadioReference?

No. RadioReference and Broadcastify will function as two entirely separate entities after the transition, therefore we are discontinuing free premium subscriptions on RadioReference.com for live audio feed provider.

However, we will grant all active feed providers a free 90 day premium subscription on RadioReference.com when the transition occurs on Oct 15th.

As worded there, premium subscription at RR for all active feed providers would have expired 1/15/2022

I was unaware of that and do not know about changes to the feeder status. The website still says you get a free account.
