new TG 4906 with KID 132A.

Heard a rumor that site 1 is Orillia. I am waiting on the p25dat file and events file from the contact to verify and submit.

I am now looking for a large .jpg/bmp/png map of Ontario. If anyone has such a map or image I would appreciate getting a copy. My plan is to tag the discovered sites and neighbors so we can see where everything is and what is empty or undiscovered.
I think it is possible to make custom Google Maps plotting things, is it not? I thought I saw those for other \ older systems.

You do realize that you do not need to populate DSDPlus.* files for P25 systems, and that DSDPlus automatically dumps all network/site information for P25 sites into DSDPlus.P25data ?

DSDPlus.P25data will have everything -- WACN / SysID / Site NAC, any channels seen active (and mark them if they are control channels), and will list all neighbor sites along with the neighbor sites' control channel frequency.

Yes , DSDPlus.P25data has everything listed for all of my P25 sites and is a good resource.
I wanted to keep my post small, I guess I could have just listed the site numbers and the list would have been smaller.

I'm here a lot
I really, really, really need site identification for any sites with UNKNOWN county for the RCMP. The reason being is that we have been asked to purge UNKNOWN from database listings. Site name is not as important, although would be helpful.
Worst case scenario, the UNKNOWN's will go into the WIKI.

I don't believe there is any actual need for a system out this way, perhaps closer to the border between Ottawa and Renfrew County. Maybe it's out by Kinburn somewhere.

Last time I heard any RCMP activity was over a decade ago when there was a cigarette bust around here. Some encrypted simplex channels were used back then and that was about it. Regional office for RCMP activities in this region is out of Kingston.

True RCMP activity in Ontario is sparse at best. As we are seeing there is some regular activity on the system.

Mapping out a 100% ENC system is both a challenge and a statement. This thread alone has doubled the amount of information about the system. When conditions are good it is possible to capture 10 or more sites. Having members all over the province helps log especially since the system likes to reuse the same CC frequency for different sites.

Back when they were on their conventional UHF system, there was a lot of EDPS activity in Toronto. Aside from that you'd hear the occasional unit update their 10-70 timer with the OCC but that's pretty much it.

Caught this today
1760640560276.png

Notice that 4268412 logged in and used KID 2019(13:22:51) then a few seconds later(13:23:35) used the current active KID of 201A. I was not logging the full data stream so missed the update packet or where/when it was sent.

I am too far away from TO. I hope someone local can capture some TG. I have not seen any new TG show up on Cambridge today.

It looks like there is some type of handshake going on. On site 122 for example 421.825 seems to be used for this handshake.

1760729993036.png

These transmissions do not show up in the event log. I had noticed a few sites with a dedicated frequency and others where the p25data file contains this type of entry.

Channel 4-1258: 421.825 SCC VOICE DATA

I will attempt to capture some of the packets and see if the contents are decipherable. LMRN also has a dedicated data channel where similar packets are seen. I had assumed that these were for the location services and contained the GPS of the unit transmitting. I now thing that the channel may contain more than just location data. it may contain other packets too.

This is the current TG list. In compiling it I see that new TG can be located by looking for registrations like below.
1761245765872.png
These registrations will show up in the .groups listing like this
1761245963940.png
The blank date is because the TG was not seen actively in use. Active TG will appear with the ENC KID.

Those with DSD Fast Lane who want to double check their groups for such entries should hopefully find more TG listed than we thought. Obviously any KIDS will add to our understanding too. If you wan to just C&P the ((B groups part to me I can filter it and add anything new to the list. This saves filling the thread with a ton of C&P that many will find boring or confusing.

FYI This registration thing works on other P25 systems Like LMRN and Toronto/Hamilton/Niagara/KW etc etc etc. too.
