A reminder that only confirmed data should be submitted to the database. That means personally verified, not obtained second or third hand.
If you find an official document containing relevant info, you need to be clear about that when making a submission, and either provide a link to it or ask the database admin to contact you for further details.
Generally speaking, stuff like that belongs in the wiki, not the database. Any member is able to edit the wiki, so please do not make submissions for the wiki through the database expecting us to do the work for you.
The list of "talkgroups" that was submitted for this system is a perfect example of why data that is not vetted shouldn't be submitted. Nowhere in the submission did it make reference to the list being part of a document found online, nor was a link to the original document provided. Unfortunately, we admins took the submission on face value and we added the data. Yes, we dropped the ball on our end. It happens from time to time, none of us are perfect.
