Why the surprise at SMA? Every scanner since the Home Patrol 1 has had an SMA. Hopefully they will resume including SMA-to-BNC adapters.

So my thought is... (and this is pure conjecture on my part)
SDS200 (SMA connector) = Home Patrol 3
SDS500 = 536 replacement
SDS200 (SMA connector) = Home Patrol 3
SDS500 = 536 replacement
I maybe alone, but I would be will to be a beta tester for the new scanner lines.

Yep, Uniden better rush to get it on the market even if it's not ready for release. Hahaha.

If it's a 536 replacement I will certainly buy one but this time I'm going to wait about six months before spending the money. We shouldn't be in a rush to buy one of the first units made in the first week.
After this Whistler delay of release I have my doubts about them. I'm sure the radios are made but they are still trying to figure out how to make them work right especially on NXND, DMR and P2 simulcast.
Let's hope the best for both companies as neither one can afford another disappointing release

I certainly would be interested in buying one of those 536's as long as it's one of the newer ones without the display issues.
Possibly at CES? Gonna have a prototype?
Uniden has not been at CES for several years.
I haven't had a single display issue on either of mine after 3, 4 years of ownership
dont think the base 535 or 996p2 have sma? only ones i know of are yes the HT scanners and HP-1 and 2,but not 536 or 996p2
Prototype? Has an FCC ID and a press release is expected next month...it appears to be a finished product and probably available, hopefully, before hamvention.
Most of the work was already done with the SDS100...just putting it into a larger box, hopefully larger screen, and tweaking any shortcomings the SDS100 may have had out of the gate that firmware can't fix.
A TRX-xxx would be vape-orware and they'd be lucky if they had a prototype by Hamvention.

Since you know how to search this stuff. Does anything comes up for the Whistler TRX-100 and TRX-200? They were suppose to begin shipping in Q4 2018 then that go pushed back to Q1 2019. Just curious if they have an actual product or is it more of a concept written on a napkin? I wouldn't want one if I was given one for free, just curious.
