Why do we insist feeding into the nonsense on the pre-release of any scanner? When Upman is good and ready I am sure he will release all the information we need, otherwise, we are wasting time and space even talking about it, I say delete the thread as its nothing to see here, Happy New Year.

It's obviously interesting to some as they wouldn't be reading and posting otherwise. Additionally, it does have the potential to generate greater interest pre-release. This is good for marketing. This is happens with just about any product, especially niche ones, from video game systems to cellphones.

I'm curious... Since you have no interest in the information and feel it is a waste of time, why are you bothering to read the thread, let alone post in it? Think about it.

I am interested in Uniden products and this thread is interesting to me. It is not a waste of my time.

As of today (12-28-2018) I have seen 3 scanner dealers (Bearcat Warehouse, The Ham Station and Universal Radio) already listing the Uniden SDS200 on their websites. According to those dealers' webpages the SDS200 has been F.C.C. approved but pricing information is not yet available.

Bearcat Warehouse: Uniden™ SDS200 Police Scanner | Bearcat Handheld Digital Police Radio

The Ham Station: SDS-200 base version of sds-100 : The Hamstation!, Your one stop on-line source for amateur radio fun.

Universal Radio: Uniden Bearcat SDS200 Scanner

FOOLISH !!

The Dude said:
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Before it comes up... I wasn't anywhere near your lawn, man.

I take it you didn't think about what I posted. Oh, well. You can lead a ham to bread but you can't always make a sandwich.

Peace. :)

Should be fun to see all the posts on Jan 1st demanding the official announcement since, technically, it would be "January 2019." Lol...maybe.

Anyway, I'm cautiously optimistic about what the SDS200 brings to the table, but if one of those things isn't a true remote head, then waffles or not, I'll pass.

So why the screen shot from Bob from Proscan?

Well, I would assume because he typically models the 'control' portion after the actual scanner...so, again assuming, I would guess that jdeverett thinks that might be what it looks like. But, note it also says subject to change on the software post, so...he's doing nothing that the rest of the posts in this thread haven't already done - surmising, musing, guessing, etc.

You could very well be right. But remember the 325p2 has the control screen that goes by the xt models. So you really can't go by a screen shot of what it might look like. And yes I know it is always subject to change. So really no need to repost a previously posted picture.
