Two USB C (or micro), one male, one female, and one female USB AMenu is fine it is the favorite's list they are reversed. For the cable you mean usb c to two usb a female connectors? I believe the delay is possibility the length of the cable or need a high speed cable.
Thanks anyway, but i'm in FloridaI’d like to lend you one of my 436 if you live in Canada if you’re interested in working on maybe splitting the app or having a radio discovery/ and some features will split. I dunno. I don’t program. Or maybe someone from your area has an extra radio they’d like to?
Anyway, thanks for putting your time into this.
FYI, It is not currently setup to provide GPS data while running in the background, but let me know how it works outHey OP, I have been experimenting with using a rooted Android Head Unit (2023 Joying 9") in my car. I'd like to try your software to run on the head unit and plug my scanner into it. Especially interested in the GPS NMEA messages being passed through from the host to the scanner. That could really simplify my mobile setup, especially if the software can run as a background app continuously providing GPS data. Then I won't have to carry my GPS puck all the time and find ways to bury it in the dash and provide it power. If I can just plug the scanner into the head unit, it can piggyback off the head unit's GPS (and power), and that's less cable clutter to deal with. Not to mention the display features. Would you consider making the software link available again?
EDIT my apologies I see it's on GitHub. Release 1.4 · seangildea/SDSRemoteDisplay
Thank you!
I'm sure if you put up a donate link everyone using it on here will donate to help you achieve that google account at no cost to youI would like to put it on google play for free, but google requires a $25 payment to set up a dev account. Kind of annoys me I have to pay money to give something away free.
What version of Android does it run?I have a Pixel 3a and the app force closed when I open it.
Best I can do is to try and emulate that device in Android Studio and see what happens. I will try to do it sometime this weekend.
Never tested it with OxygenOS, may not work. Try connecting the scanner after the app is launched.Hi all,
My phone, running Android 12 through OxygenOS, is constantly saying "Not Connected", no matter what unit (SDS 200 / Phone) I do first turn on. I've tried both USB sockets at no vail. Did you guys have trouble with a micro-USB/USB-C adapter or is it a fail safe go-through thing?
When questioned, App info is showing "version 1.0" even if the 1.4 apk has been installed.
That's kinda poor, sorry!
So a USB cable was causing the app to crash? That's weirdI was able to get it to work without issue. I bought new usb otg cable.
Are you using the SDS100 scanner? If so, you need a mini USB, not a micro USB to USB C. Micro USB is only for power no data comms.Never tested it with OxygenOS, may not work. Try connecting the scanner after the app is launched.
I've used adapters, but yours could be charge only
