Is that a new TG you've got there? Nice catch!Hearing WVSP Troop 2 traffic on TG 9020. Definitely a check point.
EDIT: Just did a Forums search, and saw that you guys have been tracking it since Sept 2022... I'm a bit of a slow reader.

I believe that is a training TG too. Training Dispatchers. So the last new days I've picked up quite of bit of traffic on TG 9038. It's the State Police running traffic stops in the Charleston area. I was receiving it off of the Huntington site.
Exactly what I heard as well. I was hearing the same dispatchers on the 9020 TG as well as 9007 (regular dispatch). I can't find the article but it was about a recent "operation" to ticket for various things like expired tags, no insurance, and the like. I'm definite that what I was hearing on 9020 was for a checkpoint. I'd suspect that 9038 was as well.I wonder if that was the case, but the dispatcher that was working sounded squared away and definitely not new to dispatching.
I wonder if they are using the separate TG just for running traffic stops and keeping the normal troop TG for calls?Exactly what I heard as well. Mostly. I think the ones assigned to the checkpoints and/or "enhanced patrols" were on the other channels and the regular shift troopers were on the regular dispatch channels.I wonder if they are using the separate TG just for running traffic stops and keeping the normal troop TG for calls?
Normally a very strong site from my QTH--cannot hear them at all tonight. The site doesn't even register on the RSSI--looks like it's down... good catch!Site 1.48 Wardensville Hardy County has been showing up on site 1.7 Martinsburg Berkeley County as isolated
Marion Co EMS has their own dispatchers they use for non emergency transports they use the private talk group for that. Marion EMS for 911 callsNeed some people in Marion / Harrison Co to do some investigative work.
10137 MarCo RsSqPv Rescue Squad Private
This was in the Marion Co section of the DB. However, Marion Co Rescue Squad already has their own talkgrup in the Marion Co range.
All other 10xxx talkgroups in the DB are Harrison Co talkgroups.
There were two WVSIRN forum posts referencing 10137 -- one mentioning it was heard while in Harrison Co, and the other mentioning that it sounded like a bunch of people having fun and sounded like they were wasted.
So I removed this talkgroup completely -- not just from Marion Co.
If you're inclined and within Marion/Harrison counties, program it in your scanner (or keep it programmed in if it is already there) and see if you can determine the real user of TG 10137
Thanks!

I'm not exactly local, but a bit closer than you are... I was able to copy Moorefield PD units, dispatched via Hardy County on the Romney site--but nil heard from anything on the Eastern side of the county. I was also listening to their VHF freqs, but they were quiet, too.Still isolated today, anyone local to the site have any idea what happened?

I wonder if this has anything to do with the item posted in August's SIRN minutes stating that:Still isolated today, anyone local to the site have any idea what happened?
Regarding the Hardy and Hampshire SIRN...For the past week here in Hardy, I am getting nothing from either county's police or fire. I do hear WVSP just fine so I'm reasonably confident that my receiver is working properly. Going to take some debugging and research to figure out what's up, but clearly some changes have been made. Been very tied up with work and unable to spend time on this. Any solutions welcome right here.Normally a very strong site from my QTH--cannot hear them at all tonight.
