Are they upgrading to P25 Phase II? They said a few different things about making sure new radios had TDMA enabled.
I am over here in Monkey aka Montgomery and I was wondering why I could receive SIRN over here with better coverage with my portable then I used to.
They have been using TDMA in limited fashion for a while now, mostly up in the NOrthern Panhandle. They likely don't have any particular strong push to switch to Phase II TDMA at every site / all talkgroups unless there is a specific location where they can't / haven't secured additional frequencies and need more channel capacity.

On the local site, Martinsburg 1.7 -- TGs 9007/1141/1507/1733 can be TDMA

BM82557...have you noticed the Berkeley County Fire Station Private channels using TDMA as well? It seems a lot of the TG's from this site went encrypted over the past year and subsequentially their use of TDMA seemed to start to follow.

Nice...that's a lot more than I expected. I'm going to have to watch the Kearneysville site to see if it's doing the same.
I've been monitoring the Kearneysville site since last Saturday evening and I see only TG 9007 using the two TDMA frequencies from that site. They are 453.2625 and 460.5875.
We have a second house over in Highland County Virginia, just south of Monterey. I was looking at the SIRN sites in the database, but did not see any for Pocohantas County. I presume that is due to the National Quiet Zone around Green Bank. I noted three sites in Pendleton, with the Circleville site seemingly the best placed for Monterey. However, I was curious about how Pocohantas County systems interface with SIRN since there are no sites listed within the county?

Wood County Sheriff's Office wants another dispatch talkgroup? What would that be for? They already have one on SIRN and they use the P25 conventional channel as the main one.

That wasn't me criticizing, I was really asking why.
Brooke County was approved for three talk groups for Jefferson County Ohio. Fire, EMS, and Law. With the new Bridge in Brilliant Ohio, Depts will be giving mutual aid to WV depts.

Test counts with TG 9994 patched to TG 1109 Martinsburg PD Primary or TG 1139 Berkeley County Fire Tac 4, quite a bit of echoing during the counts.
Thanks for explaining those logs you posted--I was wondering if that's what was being shown there. Clearly, I'm not an SDRTrunk guy...
The talk group numbering scheme--if that's ever any real indication--would suggest that TG 9994 might be Regional EMS-related. It' proximity to another Berkeley Co. Regional EMS talk group would suggest that, too--at least to me. Has Berkeley Co. opened a new hospital emergency room, recently?
Martinsburg is coming in especially good, today--I'm gonna sit on the TG, and see if I can record anything.
In my records, 9994 is labeled as DHHR STECS TEST. This is on a document produced by the SIRN System November of 2012.
