Still need to confirm Troop 4 secondary (former 21A, 13009) and Troop 9 secondary (former D20A, 13011) talkgroups.
Can confirm 13009 with Troop 4 (ex-D14) and 13011 (ex-D20) with Troop 6. Both patched to the primary at some point today for alerts. Also looks like Troop 5 is using the old D6 Car to Car 13044.

Running especially low on resources for confirming ISP Troop 10 (former ISP Districts 13, 22 and Saline and Gallatin Counties from former District 19). No replies yet, and no Broacastify recordings available for the former D13A and D22A talkgroups (17006 and 17014 respectively). Is there anyone in or near the far Southeast portion of Illinois that could give those talkgroups a listen and report back?
i am located in marion County i do hear 17006 (old 13A dispatch)and occasionally 17014 ( 22A) from my local tower near Centralia.

Happy New Year! Database admins are in the process of posting confirmed Illinois State Police Troop talkgroups to the Radio Reference STARCOM21 database page, but we need YOUR help! Active talkgroups heard so far for Troops 1,2,3 and 8 have been posted, but we need confirmations for what's in use for Troops 4,5,6,7,9 and 10 as well as any confirmed talkgroups not already posted for Troops 1,2,3 and 8. It appears that there are no changes anticipated for Troop 15 (the former District 15).

Initial information about the Troops, the counties they cover and the the primary/secondary talkgroups they are slated to use are posted in the ISP wiki. There could be other former ISP district talkgroups (car-to-car, etc.) in use as well.

Please submit what you're hearing via the STARCOM21 database page so the rest of the Troop talkgroups can be posted as well.

Thanks!
i hear 17003 (old D12A)& 17011(old D19A) in use for Troop 9

The information we received appears to be good so far. The "old" lower numbered districts, will be the Primary and the higher number "old" district will be the secondary. With the exception of Troop 3 the lower districts Car-to-car and ISPERN "appear" to be the channels for the Troops.

Troop 3's utilizing the "old" District-Chicago's Car-to-Car, Priority/ISPERN, and Tac-1 and Tac-3 (Patched to T3-South).

What everyone is seeing, is the radio programming hasn't been updated yet to reflect the new channel assignments. Two talkgroups "patched" are more likely than not temporary, until they can verify the higher district cars have the lower districts "A" channel, and will disable the patch (as happened in Troop 5 today), and the radios will be updated to reflect the Troop's Primary/Secondary/Car-to-Car/ISPERN channels.

As per the database rules, we can't submit "non-verified" talkgroup information, which is why the database is on a slow roll. We have the state well covered, and will get this together. Asking when the database will be updated, won't make it happen quicker, but I'm sure your "verified" contribution would. This isn't a job, but we're volunteering time to sit and take notes and contribute, while the database administrators are confirming and adding submissions.

If you're desperate to get this information into your scanners and can't wait for the next database update, it might be a good time to learn "self-programing" your scanner with the new information from the database, Sentinel or Pro Scan subscription, and give it a try.

ISP Troop 6 is currently patching 13004 (former D9:A), with 13011 (former D20:A), which is causing havoc with the repeaters both simulcasting the patch as well as the original transmission on separate channels. Repeater is also sending out random bursts of data on those talkgroups fairly regularly causing havoc with logs and recordings. Previously I've only seen this issue with Sangamon County Sheriff patching their channels together for their alerts causing these random data bursts.

The "old" D9A, will become the Troop 6-Primary soon, and the D20A will be the Secondary, and the patch will be disabled. I see it's your first post, and that's been the "pattern" they've been following.

@Wilde_

All current TalkGroups will remain in place, and will be renamed (see new config below). Each troop will use the current "A" TalkGroups from each current District as either Primary or Secondary. The lower of the 2 will act as the new "Primary", the higher of the two will act as the new "Secondary". Not all troops will use the Secondary talkgroups 24/7, however I would assume during high loads they will.

Examples:
Troop 1:
  • Primary (Current District 1A)
  • Secondary (Current District 16A)
Troop 2:
  • Primary (Current 7A)
  • Secondary (Current 17A)

Exceptions:
Troop 7 (Current D10) won't have a secondary TG. Until configurations are completed, current "B" TalkGroups will be utilized.

Troop 3:
  • North: D2-A
  • Middle: DC-C
  • South: DC-D
  • Southwest: D5-A
  • Admin/Other: DC-A

EDIT: I replied in a post below, this came directly from a contact, who was notified of the change by the state.

Yeah, I understand that, its more that currently their dispatcher has their console patching both talkgroups as well as transmitting separately onto T6:A, causing 2 total transmissions to happen on two channels, one transmission being T6:A, the second transmission being a patch of T6:A & T6:B.

I understand, it won't last forever fortunately. Can you Avoid the 6-B talkgroup and not miss anything since the Primary 6-A is in use?

After Jo Daviess County's SC21 range testing on the demo talkgroup mid-2022. Deputies, Sheriff & board members seemed to be impressed (to no surprise) with the coverage and have accepted a contract with Motorola System to provide the whole county with the equipment necessary to switch to SC21 full time. No estimated time frame for a switchover from the imploding analog system to SC21 was given.

Observations gathered so far about the new DuPage County SC21 RIDs can be found here, starting with RID 10006585.

Does anyone here live in the Freeport area? I don't, but I do pass through the Rockford area occasionally. During those trips, I've heard what appears to be a multicast with or patch (RID 70013) to an unknown analog repeater on TG 1659 (Site 111). Transmissions have been short for the most part. Yesterday, it was "Charles 1", "Charles 6" and "George 8". Late last month, another listener had reported hearing "Queen 2". But the last transmission I caught yesterday was "Is head count started?", and it immediately made me think of corrections operations. I'm now thinking that this could be mirroring the Stephenson County Jail repeater (on 155.640, 131.8 PL per the Radio Reference database).

Is anyone close enough to hear this VHF repeater and determine if the audio is the same as that on SC21 TG 1659?

Thanks in advance!
