Hi Everyone,
I was just scanning Starcom21 and I see Bolingbrook PD is using Law Tac 51 TG 33932 and in the database it says D and it looks like the channel is encrypted just to update the database.

Just a note for those tracking radio ID's around Troop 3, I've noticed the "old Troop 15" pool cars (475xx/15-5xx) are no longer being used or have been reprogrammed to the Troop 3 Utility cars radio ID's. A couple of weeks ago, the Troop 3 radio tech (2-R-2/2-Robert-2) was checking and verifying radio ID aliases with the Troop 3 telecommunicators on 3-A. For example, RID 1305210 was coming up as 5 Utility-10 on the console and was verified by 2-R-2. This might have been an "old" Troop 15" pool car that was reprogrammed? Other Utilities were being checked and verified, and some of the current Troop 3 RID's were also checked and verified. New vehicles, or "old" Troop 15 pool cars being used now I was thinking?

I also monitored TG33932 Tac51 last week and it was "ENC" and on the list I was given by a fireman friend it's marked DE

I also sometimes hear them possibly on TG 34006? Is that another channel BPD uses?
Yes, they do use it occasionally depending on what they are dealing with. If any major situation occurs to whereas they request Mutual Aid, they will switch over to the ITTF Region 3 TG's. I know that some neighboring agencies don't have access to any channels Bolingbrook has.

Around 0715 Hrs. this morning on Cook County's analog Net-10 (Hickory Hills, Bedford Park, Summit PD's), the Hickory Hills Dispatch center announced for everyone to switch over to Suburban Dispatch-3. I started ID Searching and found a possible new/undocumented talk group 25313 (encrypted) with frequent traffic on Cook County Site 5-02. Net-10 has been silent.
Switched over yesterday mornnig, 24 hours nothing heard on Net-10.

It's official. Hodgkins was calling Justice on Net-10 to report a car in the ditch, which was previously reported and the dispatcher told them "for 43, we're no longer on Net-10 and all on Starcom now."

Not sure what's going on with Bloomington FD's response talkgroup, there has been a LOT of encryption on it this morning. Every call since about 7 this morning is showing an external RID and is encrypted.

There has been prior but very, very limited use of encryption on this talkgroup, limited to a handful of RIDs, but nothing like this. Paging still clear. No changes to Normal or county either, but those are METCOM, not Bloomington's PSAP.

Looks like everything is back to normal (the status, not the city). Not sure if they were doing console work or what, but for a while dispatch was using a spare PD radio.
