Quite busy the past few days and want to Thank everyone posting here.
We had A-10's from Maryland to Maine and back with pics,B-2's in the area bombing ranges and with some cool pics also.
We caught some new A-29 Super Tucano aircraft with audio and radio/ADSB Intel as well and several new Army UH-60;s and new
Del ANG C-130H course they got to remove the Kentucky logos... First State Update - Home | Facebook
Altravs also with our friends from the UK too!
All along with our usual local stuff as well.. Sure makes it fun with all the smart help here on this board.
It may be called MidAtlantic Milair under Maryland but friendly Mil aircraft don't recognize State/Country Lines LOL
Keep up the good work guys :)
Guys,

I second Mark's remarks.

We live in a rich, diverse Milair environment, everything from ArNG helos to Air Force 1, and everything in between Our area is busy transit spot for milair, so we get alot of interesting "passers by" as well.

Add in a group of savvy monitoring hobbyists and it doesn't get much better than that.

Thanks for feedback. Hadn't heard that term before.

When you hear the ground side of Huntress, they do it with the fighters when they enter the CAP. Huntress will call out about 3-4 tracks that are being fed to them via datalink (Andrews or Atlantic City in our area) and they will request the fighters verify.

Huntress: Noble 11 - check track EA123 BRA 230 35 35K
Noble 11 - Huntress confirm track EA123 Southwest 737 blue and gold.

When they are told to follow a TOI, Huntress will call Noble 11 priority track EA456 (provide the BRA) and tell them to monitor the track. That way if they need to intercept - they are already locked on the target (mentally and mechanically)

Just found this online - interesting data

Showed a bit misspelled on flightaware as FAT-51 FAT51 Air Taxi Flight Tracking and History 17-Jul-2021 - FlightAware

1220 local heard FAST-51 departing Dover.. Guess a T-38 working way back to Langley?

1310 local a couple more late model UH-60's coming South thru New Jersey out of Stewart NY.
AE6203 G20991? and AE6481 19-21089. Dodging the wx cells landing Lakehurst.

These UH-60's flew close to me. They were using 242.4 which is a NG common in this area. Also, Lakehurst is a major hub for NG blackhawks. It was actually 3 UH-60's. One has been mis-coded for weeks showing as a C130.

Greetings all - love all of the information shared in this community!

Background:
As a former USAF C-130 Flight Navigator, I pay a fair amount of attention to the transports (especially Herks) passing through the area. With KADW nearby, I will often check this page to see arrivals/departures: ADS-B.NL Tracking Military Aircraft

I have started to notice that some of our folks using the “Reach” callsign sometimes have a “T” suffix after the numbers (Some C-17s are RCH### and others are RCH###T, good example of this happens on 2021-07-02).

Quick question, please:
So long as sharing would not be operational security issue, might anyone have insight as to when this suffix is used?

Thanks!

The RCHxxxT suffix is used mainly for VIP equipment transports, it couls be State, in assisting foreign visitor, but mostly for VP and POTUS equipment and vehicles.

RCH-145 C-5M 87-0045 off Dover reported nose gear problems and having problems.
Heard on appch about evacuating the aircraft when it lands. Seems to be circling.
2145 local RCH-145 talking about going down to KNTU to land due to wet runway at Dover on Dover apch 132.425
2150 RCH-278 calling Dover CP 349.400 inbound C-17 #08-8195
Guessing RCH-145 trying to burn fuel and with incoming wx is concerned about landing Dover.
RCH-278 62AW in from the West voicing no concerns
2157 RCH-145 with Dover tower talking about trying runway 32.. "Still discussing among the crew"'
RCH-278 62AW in from Albuquerque... Could be a special. Looking for runway 1 at Dover
2202 RCH-145 talking about Wright Pat KFFO divert on appch 132.425.Wx is good and they are prepared for us.
2206 RCH-145 reports heading to Wright Pat req FL10k eventually FL270 with Dover appch.
2210 RCH-145 will push 127.700 ZDC low.. Cleared KFFO by Dover apch.

2210 RCH-145 clearing with Potomac appch low on 119.700 "When we get there we will declare emergency again"
We have 33 SOB and 133k fuel. Mentions again nose gear problem stuck in down position.
I guess why they insist upon a dry runway.. Dover told them would be at least 2 hours for dry runway at Dover.
Assume Wright Pat will have emergency vehicles on alert to incoming. Gives them time to call in anyone nearby or off duty.
2235 RCH-147 staying low at 15k all the way to KFFO so far. Prob to burn more fuel.
