Could have been McGuire KC-10s---they also use 143.825 (AM) as an A-A freq.
Prob a couple of Aviano or Spang F-16's A/A headed home with ROMA 22 tanker at that time.
ROMA 22 tanker from 6thAMW ran with them as far as St Johns.

Edit: sounds more like training now. COSMICs and BANGERs were discussing who was going to be the hostile. Plus no TFRs.

Blue Angels to Fly Over Pentagon and D.C. Area

YPSILANTI, Mich. – The U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, are scheduled to conduct a flyover of the Pentagon and Washington D.C. area for a team photo shoot, Sunday, August 30, 2015.
The Blue Angels will fly the squadron’s six-jet F/A-18 Hornet Delta Formation, making multiple passes from east to west over Reagan International [sic] Airport. The Blue Angels will be circumnavigating the city north to south between photo runs, with a seventh jet flying alongside as a photo platform.
The flyover will be will be visible to the general public. The photo shoot is scheduled to take place between approximately 6:15-6:45 p.m. EDT.
The Blue Angels are scheduled to fly in 68 performances at 35 locations in 2015 and 69 performances at 35 locations in 2016 throughout North America.

This morning had CG Sector Baltimore on 157.15 with one of its 26-ft craft establishing radio guard on CG 409 (412.975).
Switched over and heard several bursts of encrypted (prob P-25) comms.

Saw what looked like a German Air Force C-160 heading into Dulles about 1445. Not in my mode-S log, so it must've been a hex code not in my database.
Also logged VX-20 C-130 with the flight ID TRUMP16. :lol:

Guys,
Northrop (N984HA & another unid acft) has been flying around most of the morning and now in the early 1400 hour they mention info supplied by them by Vecheck and they are tasking Jerome and Jennifer (sounds like they are on the ground) for some targeting runs.

Noticed two Rhode Island C-130s on mode-S. Sure enough they're using 383.3 for air to air. 99-1432 and 05-1435
Apparently they doing something at/with Ft AP Hill.
Now hear them with AP Hill Range Control on 126.2. Sounds like they have jumpers.

In early 1200 hour EDT have Scan 84 (Dash-8 N984HA NGTF) on discrete (123.225) working with Speilberg (not heard here) asking him to check on pilot availability for this PM. Speilberg evidently in a vehicle as Scan 84 asked him not to text and drive.
Later Scan 84 working with Vader TC (unid) who advises Scan 84 that they are not picking them up.
Scan 84 cannot contact Scan Base so advises Vader TC that they will have to depart at 1315 but can continue working with Vader TC until then.
Not sure if Vader TC is another NGTF acft or a ground unit. I can hear them L/C from my location (approx 5 miles east of BWI) so if ground station they must be fairly close. If Vader TC is a ground stn then from the exchanges I've heard (range, azimuths, etc) it appears that Vader TC has some capability to control either the acft or certain equipment on the acft.
Scan 84 finally contacts Baltimore Base (prob at NGTF at BWI) trying to sort out who the afternoon pilot will be.
At 1240 Scan 84 asks Speilberg to contact Tom to find out where Sparky is at the moment.

Also saw 4243E4 RJA953 VQ-BMZ Jordanian Govt heading west at 2111UTC on 9/2 and return to the area at 0004 UTC 9/3
