It's WC-130H 65-0985.

We've got a ton of hits on that aircraft in the SBS database. However, they're all out west around the Nellis area - not a single hit in this area of the country. All the hits showed he displayed KING 92 for a callsign until the most recent flight when it was KING 91 in mid-June. It hasn't been logged since then.

I can't explain that...but it is assigned to the 169th FW.

Traffic shortly after 2300Z:

SPORT 01 (A-10?) departed. Initial call was passing 3500 for 10000.

SUNNY 126 (C-12, unid) off the deck - didn't hear any vectors with Dayton.

IAF to Nellis

1130Z-1157Z

IAF 100 with 4 or 5 chicks headed from Bangor to Nellis 240B260.

Called Westover WX on 274.750 for actual at Nellis, McConnell and a third I couldn't understand.

Chicks were chatting steadily in Yiddish on a number of Coronet freqs, until settling on 236.750.

Other freqs heard were:

254.600
255.750
394.600
375.700

and possibly
139.700

Nj ang

0955 EDT-- have couple of NJ ANG F-16s (Devil) working on 138.425. They are prob at PAX but they are booming in today. Sound like they are right next to my house and I live about 100 miles from Pax River.

For the better part of the last hour or so there's been a couple of DC ANG F-16s (Brave) working with Huntress on 139.7. Sounds like one of those Virgo exercises with a CAP Cessna in the PAX River area.

NASA 806 (ER-2, N806NA) is up in the northeast on a mission this morning. Anyone in the area might be able to catch him, though it looks like he's headed home.

MASH 64 (KC-135R) was in to pick up an aeromed crew, departed at 1605Z heading south. Curious as to what they're doing - it's not really an aeromed aircraft.

MAINE 94 (KC-135R) called in to ask if they could stop by tomorrow for a few touch-and-go's.

SABER 21 FLIGHT (4x F-16C/D) in the MOA. 1 and 2 are SABER, 3 and 4 are MIG 1 and 2. A/A on 139.250.

Re: MASH 64

Jared,

Will become an EVAC flight at some point. KC-135s of course can be transformed into medevac aircraft fairly quickly if the need arises, and it frequently does.

Best regards,

Tony

Jared,

1242 EDT--have ??? 91 (missed his call) working ZNY N. Mountain (273.6) & ZNY Milton (269.1). Says he's having comms problems and was headed to Wright Patterson.

Does it sound like a fighter? I would say RHINO 91, but they almost never get on UHF with ARTCCs (and they'd use the heavy suffix).

You learn something new every day! I figured they were headed out to train - but I've only ever seen them fly with the 910th and 911th AWs.

DEECEE 51 (KC-135R) working Dayton for vectors into Patterson. Said they will be in the radar pattern for an hour or so. NASA 806 (ER-2, N806NA) just showed up as well.

1743Z 126.900 TOWER - NASA 806 final for 23R, gear down
1747Z 126.900 - DEECEE 51 about 2 miles from ANNEE (23R), low approach at or above 1800
1750Z 126.900 - on the go, switching to Dayton

Jared,

It sounded to me like a fighter---could've sworn he told ZNY the was VFR at FL600---but woudln't swear to it

The only thing that high would be NASA 806, and he was filed at FL650...the position would be right for the time you posted it. He's due to land in a few minutes (see my post above). Also, he was with Dayton on UHF for the full approach, and didn't switch to VHF until he went to the tower. I'll post a link for the track log once I can get it.
