Somebody is inbound to Pax. They've been working their way through the ZDC freqs, Casanova>Montebello>Irons>Calvert. The callsign ends with -537. He talks too fast, still haven't got it.

Won't be listening much but just before 2000....

Langley tac freq «358.85» active
Giant Killer's ops freq «391.2» active

2007: HOOPER 91 flight (1st Fw Langley) into GK's area on «249.8»
2009: REACH 3119 arriving Dover with CP on «349.4» changing status to A-3
2015: RISKY 71 flight (1st FW Langley) into GK's area on «249.8» Says they'll be MARSA with the HOOPER flight for the next 30 minutes
2015: GK's ops freq «292.3» active.
2026: REACH 227 with HUNTRESS on «364.2» Just a normal check in with Mode 3 etc.
2031: Langley tac freq «276.675» active.
2033: Might have been either RAPID or RABID 71 (1st FW Langley) into GK's area on «249.8»

(Ref below) Travis, is there any chance that's an FBI callsign ROSS?

I have somebody inbound to Mt. Weather on 241.0, ten minutes out.

Just as I posted that I hear them coming. Looking out my back window through binos I could make out a pair of Blackhawks. The lead one was blacked out and the trail one had lots of flashing red lights. -Just wanted to add that these guys were flying LOW, not more than 300ft AGL (much lower than most Leesburg air traffic is when in the same space). I didn't even have to look up and they were only 1/2 mile away.

Callsign is ROTH-146. They will be shutting down and offloading pax.

Prior to 2000 somebody was on 373.1 (DC ANG) mentioning GK.

RE: the callsign, I have it recorded. One time it definately sounds like ROTH, the next it sounds like it could be ROSS. Hopefully I can catch it again when they leave.

Langley activity has been fairly steady all day today but not overly busy. It has been primarily F-15s going to and coming from the W-386 area with Giant Killer on «249.8 to enter/exit the area. A couple of callsigns I happened to hear were WOLF and MARLIN. There has also been a Tinker AFB OK E3C aircraft in that area all day using callsign CHALICE FOXTROT. He's been heard with both Giant Killer on 249.8 and with HUNTRESS on 364.2.
Add Langley CAPE flight in last half of 1500 hour to W-386.
Add COWBOY on 276.675 Langley tac after coming out of GK's area using 249.8
At 1602, have a CAPE 83, flight of two with GK on «249.8» reporting RTB. (Add CAPE to Langley callsign list)

There was also a sprinkling of tankers flying around the area all morning...a couple of KC-135s from Andrews (DC 21 and 22) with LIBERATOR on «351.2» and STEEL 11 with Steel Ops on «311.0»

A couple of two ship F-16 flights off from Andrews in the 1400 hour - BULLY and WILD. They went up to W-107 with GIant Killer on 255.0. Tac freqs are 139.15 and 143.6. They used ZDC-Sea Isle 281.45 on the way. They are still out there as of 1528.

At 1545, I have a GRAYHAWK 07 (E2B Norfolk NAS) with Giant Killer on «249.8» asking if INVADER JACK 208 or INVADER JACK 253 (contract Lear jets) have checked in yet.

1612: Add Langley MILLER flight of F-15s into GK's area on «249.8» At 1634 heard on tac freq «228.45»
1616: HAWK 1 flight (U/I - too many units use that callsign) with ZNY-Milton «269.1» Mentions Hancock is out of his way and wants a higher altitude. He's handed off to frequency 233.6 (Unknown).

Oh yeah....forgot to mention a flight of A-10s reported off from Martin State at 1441. They were using tac 142.3. Didn't follow them to see where they went. I was just reminded because that freq is still busy at 1627. Add Raven Ops at 1636 on «347.2»

A lot of these can be traced by the number using FN. N53FN. Most of theirs are leased from L-3 comm.

OMAHA-1 is checking out a plane at Potomac airfield. 282.425

They have their eyes on a single-engine plane taxiing. It's the only one their FLIR picks up on. They are going to coordinate for further.

The 345.1 activity is loud and clear in Loudoun.

A couple of days ago, I posted that 118.125 didn't sound like a Giant Killer freq at all, as I had heard several commercial flights here (Continental, British Airways, Delta among others). Well, upon reviewing the recordings, I got a few instances where they were calling Giant Killer - and in at least 1 case, a Continental flight made a call to 'Center' and GK responded.

This was a first for me - I had never heard a GK station act somewhat like an ARTCC Center freq. But I suppose it makes sense, if the commercial flight has to traverse their airspace. It's evidently the same reason a commercial flight would call Andrews - for coordination and traffic control thru their airspace.

Dave

Well, I'll be.... Thanks Dave. The 53 gets a return but the 08 doesn't. It has been a very long time since I heard the INVADER JACK before today.

The BULLY pair on «143.6» still going as of 1957 in air combat maneuvering simulated with HUNTRESS. Over to SOF «139.9» at 2006 where they report both are Code 1 and 10 minutes out from Andrews. At 2017, they're with Reagan TRACON on «270.275» approaching the field. Next stop «349.0» with Andrews Tower.

Listening to that test activity on «345.1». It almost sounds like the Northrup-Grumman test flights. 537 reports RTB at 2004 and says the debrief will be at 2100.

Travis, the 254.1 signal is being received here full meter strength. I have no idea what it is.

1959: Air refueling freq «252.8» is active...no callsigns heard yet. At 2009, one of the aircraft here reports he's going direct Syracuse. They're in altitude block 26-27,000. The two aircraft are using suffix 11 and 12.

2020: Langley SOF «383.2» active. A couple of minutes earlier I heard a flight leaving the GK area on «249.8». No callsign heard.
2027: Langley's Iron Ops on «357.1» active with HOOPER flight.
2028: Giant Killer's ops freq «391.2» active.
2038: VAPOR 81 flight (1st FW Langley) with Giant Killer on «249.8»
2041: COBRA 50 (EA-6B, VAQ-209 Andrews) landing at Andrews with Tower on «349.0»
2031: REACH 103T calling SAM Command at Andrews on «141.55»
Remember the 378.1 freq is closed to traffic until late tomorrow per NOTAM. Hopefully, they'll have the problems solved when they bring it back up. They installed a new transmitter on that freq a few days ago that brought the problem from bad to worse. We logged TRACK 01 from Flight Standards giving it a test and flunking it. After that, they issued the NOTAM and took it off the air.
2043: Giant Killer's ops freq «292.3» active.
2047: ROACH 71 flight (1st FW Langley) with GK on «249.8» This flight using tac «228.175» Flight of four.
2056: ROACH flight on GK's ops freq «312.3»

And that's the end of me for tonight...time to watch The Unit and then The Shield.

Just as this testing on 345.1 was ending I heard a helo approaching from the east it seemed. Then I saw it heading off to the north. MUSSELL-6 just came up with MUSSELL OPS on 292.2 and they are reporting snow (It is snowing) and want to know what's up with the weather. I believe they were heading to Mt. Weather.

On my recording from earlier today I heard -6 and MUSSELL-3 out at Mt. Weather.

Different stuff this morning....

1115: GRAY SHADOW 11 checking in on Andrews CP «378.1» He had no response since this freq is out of commission for now but the callsign doesn't compute in the database.
1134: PETRO 32 with Langley Metro «239.8» to get the wx for Langley where he'll be arriving soon. (I have no listing for this callsign either although there are old listings for various tanker aircraft - KC-10 and KC-135 from various places. I don't believe this was a tanker.)
1137: PETRO 32 to Langley Command Post on «251.25» Normal arrival message but gives status as Code-1 which is normal to fighters - which he's not - rather than transports. He's going into Langley to pick up pax and cargo. Dropping off nothing.
I could be wrong about not being a tanker. He gives his tail number as 91710. If it's 79-1710, it computes to a valid KC-10 tail number.
1138: A pair of fighters is using tac freq «138.425» Too weak to copy but this should be F-16s from the NJ-ANG who have not been heard in a couple of weeks. Prior to that, they were very active day and night for weeks. About 20 minutes before hearing this, I had activity on «239.0», the ACY Tower freq.
1159: U/I activity on «390.4» "Climbing to 17,000." (No callsigns heard and no ID on freq. Parked on freq awaiting more.)

1217: NODAK 22 (I think) (F-16 ND-ANG Fargo-transit callsign) with ZDC-Casanova «282.2» descending from FL 270 to 240.
1237: ANGRY flight of two F-16s from DC-ANG Andrews went airborne...currently with Reagan TRACON on climbout and on tac freq «143.6» Push 281.4
1240: ANGRY flight to ZDC-Calvert «281.4» climbing from 15 to 19,000 and checking in.
1245: ANGRY flight doing some ACM with a simulated DARKSTAR control and simulated F-15 TIGER and F-22A TRON fighters. «143.6» (The last transmission I heard from this flight was over on 281.4 saying to change to ????? - just blew it and totally missed the freq they were going to. Can't find them now.)
1250: KC-135 tanker from the 756th at Andrews active on squadron freq «351.2» DC ??
1259: fighters on tac «138.0» Probably SPIDER or one of the ND-ANG F-16 calls in use when they deploy to Langley.

1304: Refueling frequency «123.525» active with STEEL 14 (KC-135 PA-ANG Pittsburgh). Unusual. This is normally Navy refueling freq which means hose and drogue method. He finishes refueling the first aircraft at 1310.
1313: CHALICE (E3C Tinker AFB OK) with Giant Killer on «249.8» Trying to make contact.
1330: Northrup-Grumman test flight freq active «123.225» Aircraft N164W active. At 1332 he reports being 30 miles out (from BWI).
1332: CRAB 55 (C-130J MD-ANG Martin State) with MTN Tower on «121.3»
1340: BULLY flight of two F-16s from Andrews climbing out with TRACON «348.725» and on tac freq «139.15»
1343: BULLY flight to ZDC-Calvert «281.4» checking in and climbing.
1347: BULLY flight to Pax Approach on «305.2» check in at 15,000 feet...cancel IFR. Will work for 40 minutes from 3500 to 20000 feet. Upon completion, will bobsled to Pax and request tunnel to Andrews. (Push Blue 10 while on tac 139.15)
1350: BULLY to (Blue 10?) with BayWatch on «270.8»
1351: ANGRY flight back in range on tac «143.6» as they fly home...switching to V-1
1352: ANGRY flight to SOF on «139.9» 1 is Code 1, 2 is Code 2 and they give mission results.
1353: KICK 71 (1st FW Langley), flight of six, to GK to enter area on «249.8»
1356: WATERBUG 964 (Force Aircraft Test Squadron, Patuxent NAS) with BayWatch exiting area, heading for Cambridge to do some touch and goes. «270.8» (First said he was going to Crisfield and then changed it to Cambridge.) Not sure of aircraft type - either E2 or E6 type probably.
1359: ANGRY flight landing with ADW Tower «349.0»

1401: CHALICE aircraft with GK on «249.8» to report he has contact with GRITTY flight (1st FW Langley) but not with ????? (missed callsign). He says he had no luck on 385.5 and wants the flight to meet him on 228.175.
1403: KICK 71 flight leader with CHALICE on «228.175» to make contact. CHALICE (female) says she hears them with no background noise but KICK is having trouble hearing her. (I guess KICK is what the ????? should have been in the above transmission.) A few minutes later they begin air combat maneuvers with the KICK flight F-15s being directed by the CHALICE flight.
Random thought: On a noisy freq, a female voice is very difficult to pick out but is easier to understand on a clear freq. That's just me. The Brit female aboard the MAGIC/VULCAN AWACS aircraft is the exception to this rule. She can't be understood - ever.
1413: Langley tac freq «228.175» active.
1414: the BULLY flight is working the Pax River Range picking out various targets on the ground for attack...buildings, vehicles larger than a car are targets. «139.15»
1417: Langley tac freq «276.675» active. Callsign HUSKY heard (1st FW Langley)
They've sure been giving the F-15s a workout at Langley the past few days. Haven't heard any F-22A aircraft at all during this time.
1420: U/I MilAir activity on «283.75»
1426: Langley tac freq «315.85» active.
1429: SONIC 91 flight (1st FW Langley) with ZDC-Cape Charles «256.8» 91/92 at FL195, 93/94 at FL205, heading to 230. "SONICs push channel 5"
1429: DUDE 71 flight (1st FW Langley) with ZDC-Cape Charles «256.8»
1430: SONIC flight with Norfolk TRACON «370.925»
1430: Presidential Fleet Air to Air freq «136.725» active. Lead aircraft giving flight conditions to "Sir" (pilot aboard Air Force 1)
1434: ?HOBBY? 01 (C-130) with FSS on «255.4»
1435: SONIC 91 flight with GK on «249.8» MARSA with DUDE 71
Add DUDE to Langley callsign list.
1435: DUDE 71 flight with GK on «249.8» into area.
1438: Lead aircraft reports it's a good ride «136.725» Sounds like AF1 is approaching Andrews although I can only hear the lead and not AF1 at this time.
1440: U/I aircraft to Andrews on «141.55» worrying whether he can park on 9 Row because of the ramp freeze coming up soon. He says sometimes they don't like aircraft to park on that row during a ramp freeze. (That should confirm we have AF1 coming home soon.)
1444: Giant Killer's ops freq «391.2» active.
1448: Unknown flight on «139.9» Sounds like a flight through the area just chatting. It's not the BULLY flight although they are on the way home and will use the freq soon enough. Some of the New England fighter units use this freq for tac use.
1450: SONIC 92 with GK on «249.8» requesting A thru E
1450: BULLY flight with BayWatch on «250.3» looking for lower altitude.
1451: GIant Killer's ops freq «312.3» active.
1452: BULLY flight with Reagan TRACON «270.275» cleared from FL 270 down to 2,000.
1454: Lead flight asking AF1 if he wants the "left side" opened for him. «136.725» (Note: Runway 1R/19L has been closed at Andrews today. Unless there's a hole in the middle of the runway, they'll get it opened if that's what AF1 wants.
1455: OMAHA 1 (Customs) with THOR on «282.425» just with a radio check.
1455: BULLY flight cleared into runway 1R (so they opened it for them too). «270.275»
1457: BULLY flight over to ADW Tower «349.0» with preparations to land.
1458: TESTER 18 with BayWatch «354.8»

1500: Warren Grove Range active «283.1» It's the same two aircraft heard chatting on the 139.9 freq. That also fits for New England A-10s that often go to WG.
1503: 94 is the lead aircraft and AF1 (if that's who is being talked to) is IDed as 50. 94 tells 50 the left side runway will be opened for them. «136.725» (Guess they didn't use the 747 for the President today. 50 is a female voice so it's apparently not the pilot speaking.)
1508: SAM 94 (the 94 from 136.725) with ADW Approach «119.3» and then Tower «118.4» preparing to land on 1R at 1509.
1511: SAM 94 to SAM 93 on «136.725» with each other's positions. Hmmm...two lead aircraft this time. SAM 94 reports gear down, full stop on «136.725» but that's the wrong freq so he goes to «118.4» and repeats the same msg at 1512.
1515: SAM 93 calling SAM 94 on «136.725» No reply from 94 who is on the ground.
1518: SAM 93 to 94 again and makes contact to ask if they aren't pointed the wrong way (on the ground - said with a chuckle). «136.725» (Can't hear 94)
1519: Air Force 1 with ADW Tower «118.4» "Stand by for gear."
1520: "Air Force 1 gear down." «118.4» (Notice that AF1 didn't contact Approach on 119.3 first - straight to tower.)
Also note that when Air Force 1 comes up on a frequency, he doesn't call to make contact first as all other aircraft do. He just comes onto the frequency and spits out his message - I guess with the idea that the ground station BETTER hear him....or else!

And now back to our regular scanning duties....

1524: BOBCAT 11 flight (1st FW Langley) into GK's area on «249.8»
We've IDed the BOBCAT callsign as F-22A aircraft in the past but this doesn't sound like their type transmitter. If it's F-15s, apparently the Langley aircraft will just pull a callsign from the list no matter the type aircraft. However, I need more info to ID it one way or the other.
1528: A-10s off the deck at Martin State reporting airborne time as 1527. «142.3»
1530: Have that pair of fighters we heard at Warren Grove Range chatting again on «139.9»
1533: Couldn't catch the callsign but those fighters above are now with ZNY-Kennedy «282.3»
1535: A-10s from Martin State mention heading for fix GRACO «142.3»
GRACO=38-56-29.810N / 076-11-59.220W (MARYLAND)
1538: U/I fighters on GK's ops freq «391.2» Heard them switch there from 249.8 but no callsign heard. (These are F-22A aircraft based on transmitter sound. Didn't I just say an hour ago that Langley was working out the F-15s and that I haven't heard F-22As in some time? Oh well...)
1542: U/I fighters on tac freq «139.925»
1545: SLAM 41 flight (F-16 VA-ANG Richmond) with Giant Killer on «249.8» to enter the area.
1545: Langley tac freq «257.075» active with F-22As. Callsign STUD.
1550: GK's ops freq «391.2» fighters using callsign STUD (F-22A Langley)
1553: The «139.925» freq is apparently the SLAM F-16s from Richmond.
Add this freq to VA-ANG tac list if you don't already have it. I didn't.
1557: TESTER 12 with BayWatch on «270.8» to report he'll be maneuvering in the Vienna (MD) area for the next 5 minutes.

1600: Time to quit....END OF REPORT

Late note: Just as I was turning off the radios, I heard a callsign used on «391.2» that sounded like SPADE 41. These are F-22A aircraft on the freq. Unfortunately, I've got to run and can't continue to monitor the freq. Hope someone can listen and confirm this.

MACER-1 leaving the area. Picked him up with TRACON 343.7, handed off to Montebello 284.7 then Azalea 263.1 at 22k ft.

MACER? I have no idea, but that's definately what it was.

2000- ANGRY-1, flight of two and a BULLY flight are active at Pax on 256.5. Inbound flight to Mt. Weather at this time also.

The DC-ANG F16s are just finishing their exercise in the Pax River area around 2030. They were doing ACM with a simulated DARKSTAR controller on BayWatch freq «256.5». ANGRY, flight of two, was using «143.15» tac and BULLY, flight of four, was using «143.6» tac. BULLYs to Reagan TRACON «270.275» at 2040. BULLY flight leader getting snippy with his wingmen, letting them know in no uncertain terms who is leading the flight and making assignments.

2030: COBRA 50 (E6, VAQ-209 Andrews) heading for for Andrews with ZDC-Calvert «281.4»
2041: COBRA 50 landing with ADW Tower «349.0»
2044: ROACH 81 (1st Fw Langley) into GK's area on «249.8» Flight of four.
2045: ANGRY flight with SOF on «139.9» with mission results...10 minutes out.
2046: ANGRY flight with Reagan TRACON «270.275» pointing to the runway. In a 2-mile non-standard formation.
2047: Giant Killer's ops freq «391.2» active.

(Ref below) Hey Chuck...was out and missed that one. You back for awhile?
Very sorry to hear that Chuck. I extend my condolence to you and yours.

1155: SALTY DOG 103 with ZDC-Azalea «263.1» and then ZDC-Casanova «282.2» where he begins a descent and fades away.

1204: GOLD 24 (Trans-Atlantic tanker aircraft) calling McGuire Metro a couple of times with no reply on «239.8»
1232: Weak transmissions on NJ-ANG tac freq «138.425»
1236: BULLY flight of three F-16s airborne from Andrews on tac «143.6» and climbing out with Reagan TRACON on «348.725». From there, it's off to ZDC-Calvert «281.4» as they climb up to FL 240. They are requesting direct Air Force Dare. (Dare County Range in NC). By 1241 they are running into a weather system and want to descend to 16,000 to fly under it. Level at 16,000 at 1244. (1249: Push 360.6)
1245: DC 41 (KC-135, 756th ARS Andrews AFB) in the pattern at Andrews on Approach freq «119.3» and preparing for a full stop landing on runway 1R.
1249: BULLY flight handed off to Norfolk TRACON (West) on «360.6» where they check in at 16,000. Cancelling IFR and heading to the range at 14,500 feet.
1257: Scrambled F-16 from DC-ANG Andrews «139.7» Asking CAPITOL about gateway. (Heard that one transmission and that was all.)

1302: ALLEYCAT (JSTARS) with HUNTRESS «364.2» getting a time hack. There is also a CHALICE FOXTROT (E3 Tinker AFB OK) on this freq doing the same thing.
1305: CHALICE FOXTROT with ALLEYCAT on «364.2» (Several weak transmissions)
1308: THOR 11 (F-16 ND-ANG Fargo - deployed Langley) entering GK's area on «249.8» and says his flight will be MARSA with a SPIDER 41 (same unit) arriving shortly.
1311: Caught the tail end of a transmission on DC-ANG SOF freq «139.9» that sounded like the same aircraft heard earlier on 139.7. It appears to be a single ship flight which would account for the lack of tac freq activity.
1318: SPIDER 41 calling GK on «238.1» Tries a couple of times and then says GK is completely unreadable.
1319: NASA 916 to Andrews Tower on «349.0» to say he's 5-10 minutes out and wants to know about the ramp freeze and what it means to him. If extended, he needs to be sent somewhere else. Apparently, he gets the right answer and says he can handle that. He's going to the Navy side.
1322: NASA 916 with Andrews Approach «119.3» from 1600 feet up to 5000 to hold.
1323: CHALICE FOXTROT with HUNTRESS «364.2» Time hack again.
1324: Bollen Range active «237.2». About 10 minutes earlier heard some U/I fighters with Philadelphia TRACON on «291.7» which is probably the same flight and probably A-10s from Willow Grove. Fighter outlining targets and ordnance to be dropped on them.
1325: CHALICE FOXTROT to STARGATE (JSTARS) on «364.2» telling him to stand by for one minute.
1328: SPIDER (ND-ANG F-16s) on tac «138.0» mention BANDSAW (E3 Tinker) aircraft.
1329: CHALICE F again with STARGATE «364.2» (Can't hear the STARGATE JSTARS aircraft)
CHALICE and BANDSAW E3 aircraft and ALLEYCAT and STARGATE JSTARS aircraft all in the general area. Something coming?
1333: THOR 11 and SPIDER 41 giving GK the 5 minute notice to RTB to Langley «249.8»
1334: TONGA 21 flight (1st FW Langley) with ZDC-Cape Charles «256.8» Push 249.8
1335: TONGA 21 flight calls GK several times on «249.8» No reply.
1337: TONGA 21 makes contact with GK to report they'll be working in areas A-J for 30 minutes. Say they'll be working with CHALICE on 288.2
1338: MAI TAI 11 flight (1st FW Langley) with GK on «249.8» to say they'll be in area for 30 minutes starting at minute 45. MAI TAI push 37 AUX.
1339: TONGA flight with CHALICE on «288.2» where CHALICE outlines the ACM mission.
1344: STEEL 61 (KC-135 PA-ANG Pittsburgh) says he'll be in the area on time. «228.0»
1345: BULLY flight back in listening range on tac «143.6»
1346: BULLY flight giving mission results to SOF on V-1 «139.9» 69 miles to the south and estimating home in 10 minutes. Push V-5 and back to 143.6. BULLY 3 sent to U-17 to get the ATIS report.
NOTE: We had an early reference from the DC-ANG F-16s to V-10 for 143.6 right after it replaced the old 127.275 freq. However, since that time, I've heard several references to it being V-5 which would be a direct replacement in the old 127.275 slot in the radios. I'm going with V-5. I've also heard several references lately to U-17 being the ATIS freq which is a change from the old U-20. Appears they've realigned some of these freqs in their radios.
1353: BULLY flight of three with ZDC-Calvert «281.4»
1354: BULLY flight of three with Reagan TRACON «270.275» for approach to the field and have field in sight.
1356: BULLY 4, flying alone, with ZDC-Calvert «281.4» and then TRACON «270.275» (I'd be willing to bet BULLY 4 was the lone aircraft heard on 139.7 and 139.9 mentioned earlier as a possible scramble.)
1358: BULLY 1/2/3 to U-4 Andrews Tower on «349.0»

1400: BULLY 4 to Tower on «349.0» Reports seeing the other flight of three.
Anyway, they are all landing on 1R.
1403: BULLY flight is reforming because there was a Gulfstream aircraft also in the landing pattern and BULLY flight leader says they can't fit in front of him. He also asks which runway the C-130 is going to because they can't fit in front of him either. «349.0» (Don't have callsigns for the Gulfstream or the C-130 because I had my Andrews radio parked on the 349.0 freq.)
1406: BULLY flight leader is still trying to figure out where they should be in the landing pattern because he still has aircraft around him. «349.0»
1407: Looks like BULLY flight is finally clear and about to land. «349.0»
1407: JASPER 31 flight (1st FW Langley) with GK to enter area on «249.8» and says they'll be there for 30 minutes MARSA with MAI TAI and TONGA flight.s
NOTE: The JASPER callsign is only listed in my database for F-16s from the 34th FS, HILL AFB Utah. This flight is from Langley and working with Langley fighters. Deployed fighters or new callsign for Langley is the question.
1409: BOBCAT 41 with GK on «249.8» to say he'll be working all altitudes in K.
1411: Langley tac freq «228.45» active.
1412: Langley tac freq «233.525» active with MAI TAI fighters.
1412: MAI TAI 11 flight reports RTB to Langley to GK on «249.8» Say they are 29 miles east of HEELS at 14,000 feet.
1410-1421: Have an aircraft identifying as ?Flyer? National (weak on the Flyer) calling CBD (Just the initials C-B-D) several times on freq «140.175» which he calls "Primary" and he says the freq each time he calls so he doesn't appear to be on this freq by selection error.
1421: CHALICE with GK on «249.8» (Missed most of the transmission due to noise but he mentions a couple of other flights -- RACK and SLAM -- which are maybe upcoming flights for his control.)
1424: Flyer National (Might be Fighter National) makes contact on «140.175» and says the other party is unreadable so he's going back to the secondary frequency. (I'm searching)
1425: Found him on secondary which is «141.95» but he still can't read the other person. He says he doesn't have FM on his radio, just AM and has both VHF and UHF. Wants to know if there's another and gets 328.2 and says he's going there.
1427: Flyer/Fighter National on «328.2» calling CBD. No contact so he goes back to 141.95 to confirm the freq. He repeats 328.2 and goes back there to call again.
1430: And back to «141.95» he goes to say he tried on two different radios to make contact on 328.2. Seems he can't make contact here either. Finally does make contact but he can't read the other party although he's being heard loud and clear. Again he says he heard nothing on UHF.
1437: SLAM 41 flight (F-16 VA-ANG Richmond) with Norfolk TRACON «370.925»
1438: Flyer/Fighter National tells CBD he has something deplayed and is beginning. «141.95»
1439: SLAM 41 requests FL 240 or higher for weather «370.925» Gets 250 a couple minutes later.
1440: FLYER NATIONAL 210 says he's at the "start point." «141.95»
He just got a lot louder and so I'm going with FLYER NATIONAL 210 rather than Fighter. Yes, he added 210 to the end of it now.
1442: Says he's going to do two runs, then two more runs and then RTB. «141.95» He's still calling the other end of the conversation CBD. He says only on rare occasions does he understand the transmissions from CBD.
1443: SLAM 41 flight checks in with GK on «249.8»
1445: ?KINGPIN? 71 (weak) to GK on «249.8»
1446: CHALICE tells GK he's not controlling JASPER 31 «249.8» and says they're looking for the airspace at the top of the hour.
1451: Whatever that FLYER NATIONAL 210 is now doing, he's IDing himself just by the 210 suffix and saying he can't hear the CBD station he's trying to communicate with. He's getting very weak again. He does say the GPS is operating properly and definitely tracking but (something) may be a problem. «141.95»
1454: SLAM flight is on tac «141.6»
1456: FLYER NATIONAL 210 now buried down in the noise on «141.95» (Not sure if I can get anything more from him. All I now know is that 140.175 is Primary, 141.95 is Secondary and that they also have UHF freq 328.2 in there somewhere.)
1458: LIMEY 81 with ZDC-Cape Charles «256.8»
1459: LIMEY 81 with GK on «249.8» and then to 14 Prime.
No listing for the LIMEY callsign but I'm adding it to the Langley F-15 callsign list.

Continued below....

Location
Glen Burnie, Maryland
1500: RACK 91 with GK on «249.8» in area for the next 20 minutes and MARSA with LIMEY, SLAM and KICK flights.
1504: LIMEY, RACK, KICK all with GK's ops freq «312.3» Say start time is 2010Z with CHALICE.
1504: 210 says he's beginning another run. «141.95» Says after this run he's going to set up for run 2.
1506: 210 asks if he should remain on this freq for the next trip around on run 2 and affirms he should. «141.95»
1506: Fighters chatting on tac freq «139.9» (Don't think this is Andrews.)
1508: MAI TAI 11 flight into GK's area on «238.1» to say he'll be working air Kilo for the next 15 minutes.
1514: RUST 71 (1st FW Langley) to GK on «238.1» and then «249.8» asking if anyone is in air Kilo. He says they'll take air Golf for the next 20 minutes and will be MARSA with LIMEY and KICK flights.
1516: RUST 71, while on «249.8» says to switch to 1 AUX and they come up on ops freq «391.2»
1517: 210 still flying in "Second mode, run 2" and asks that the other person at CBD should try talking on the radio and maybe they'll understand him. They are going to do run 2 again. He IDs once more with his full call -- FLYER NATIONAL 210. He then says if he's to do run 2 again, CBD should click his mic twice. Then says the same thing for run 3. «141.95»
NOTE: At 1520, there are military flights all over the ZNY/ZDC freqs. I can't possibly keep up with them because of trying to get an ID on this 210 flight and all the Langley flights up with CHALICE. There are also several fighter tac freqs busy in the 138-144 range.
1522: TONGA flight with GK on «249.8»
1523: NASA 916 off from Andrews with Reagan TRACON on «257.2» as he climbs out. He's at 5,000 feet.
1525: 210 says CBD is unreadable. If he wants 210 to start run 3, click his mic twice. Guess he did because 210 then says he's going to Run 3. «141.95»
1526: Warren Grove Range active on «283.1» Bet these are the same guys heard on 139.9 above and the same A-10s from that New England unit that were here yesterday.
1530: TESTER 25 with BayWatch on «270.8»
1531: CHALICE to GK on «249.8» to report something about W-386 in 5 minutes. He's listing all the flights he's working with but is fading away and impossible to copy from here.
1533: REACH 0174 reports airborne from Andrews at 2035Z «141.55»
Have heard several aircraft trying to use 378.1 today but no replies heard. That freq was supposed to be back in operation today.
1535: SLAM flight, two ship, reports to GK they're returning to Richmond «249.8» They're also on tac «141.6»
1537: 210 still in Run 3 «141.95»
1539: LIMEY 83, flight of two, reports RTB to GK. Leaving W-386 Golf at 26,000 direct Langley. «249.8» LIMEY flight also being heard on «292.3»
1540: FLYER NATIONAL 210 completes Run 3 and turning to the north. «141.95» Again, he says if they want him to continue with Run 3, to press mic button twice. Then he says if they want him to finish the runs and RTB, click mic twice. He apparently got the clicks because he says he is taking in the decoy and will RTB. (now, let's see if I can find him on an ATC freq)
1541: SLAM 41 (the rest of the flight) reports RTB to Richmond «249.8»
1544: 210 says recovery is in progress «141.95» (I think he's referring to the decoy mentioned above.)
1545: FLYER NATIONAL to Pax River Approach on «120.05» saying he's RTBing to Newport News. Will be VFR at 13,000.
1550: The Northrup-Grumman test flight aircraft is working with Pax River on «291.15» and talking about turning various emitters on.
1553: Both Norfolk TRACON freqs -- «360.6» in the west and «370.925» in the east -- are busy with fighters returning to Langley and Richmond.

1600: That's enough...END OF REPORT

Sounds like we have Mover 45 on 238.9
Might be doing some Ar work in AR636
Do not know who Mover is...does anyone else?
The tanker they are talking to is Topcat.
