The RIDs were in the 293xx range (not 31005). I didn't catch enough of the conversation to identify the dept. but sounded like traffic detail (PD?)

Also Twinsburg FD was testing on the FD talkgroups already listed in the RRDB (but not used YET!)

I don't know how to create a wiki page but I started to collect some UIDs for Twinsburg, Reminderville and Hudson.

Here's what I have so far if someone knows and wants to do this.
Note it's hard to ID this to a particular "person", only the "radio unit", since badge numbers can use various cars. Also more TGs will eventually be in use.

I have many of the U-ID's logged, but looking at Wiki info for the whole system, it seems these would be the only ID's listed as I can't find any others posted.

At the bare minimum, it would probably help to clean up the Wiki's for each department with basic info on radio calls signs, and various talkgroup usage.

Well I figured if someone could start this, eventually other people could contribute to it. I've since I posted the list above doubled the UIDs.

Interesting.

I got the BCD436HP primarily since T/burg went on the system. But found reception of this system was extremely poor at my QTH. All the other system I monitor, MARCS, MARCS IP, GCRCN are all very strong and good.

I read here on RR that some people felt the release firmware was better than the latest and rolled back to that and I think it IS better for ME.

I rolled back to previous firmware .. the latest firmware doesnt seem to handle 3600 baud control / mixed mode system .. which is what Summit / Akron is. I didnt really notice any great improvement on the P25s, on newest firmware, so the rollback hasn't bothered me .. except for the aggravation ! LOL

Also an FYI for Akron listeners .. Akron Fire will be doing some station re configure of apparatus very soon .. Station 10 will get a true Quint .. Tower 10. Replaces Engine and Ladder 10. Ladder 10 rig goes to station 4, and becomes the regular first due ladder out of that station, Existing Ladder 4 will become a specialty rig for high rise, downtown, working fire type responses.

I guess it's not just me. T'burg having portable coverage problems.

I've heard dozens of complaints of Twinsburg/Reminderville portable coverage over the air.

Seems these departments did not buy vehicle repeaters, and are solely dependent on portable coverage in buildings?

Major officer safety issue if that's the case.

Good job getting this wiki UID section started. I think we are going to end up like other wiki sections dealing with UIDs to just list the range - like 30800 to 30900, or something. I already see conflicts in identifying UIDs with unit numbers. Some I have recorded and some vs yours. TPD radio UIDs vs car T04 vs badge 7xx isn't going to work. I don't know if they issue portables to a person or whether they take them off the rack as available either.

Good point, I liked the sortable columns, but it may just be too much information to track. Perhaps, the notes column is best for any badge number or car number, as you suggest, who knows if portables are permanently assigned, or shared, or if supervisors hit a shared desktop radio, or a backup dispatch radio.

I activated Boston Hts/Peninsula PD in my scan lists and picked up UIDs 27974, 30614, and 35030 but didn't get who they belonged to

Re: Boston Hts/Peninsula PD

I see UID 27974 for both dispatch and car 484. I'm confused.

Equipment you're monitoring the ID on?

I've found with the BCD536HP, that the UIDs have to play catch up and they tend to be one transmission behind.

Unitrunker allowed a more accurate recording of the radio UID.

I may have misread the UID for the unit. I thought I saw it several times but now I'm not so sure.

I was reading off the BCD436HP and the UID display is tiny.

I don't see the catchup thing. It's pretty quick on the 436. Maybe different on the 536.

In any case I edited out the unit UID from 27974 in the wiki and called it Richfield Dispatch.

I'm seeing multiple users with the same UID so I'm not going to include radio unit callsigns with UIDs.

Also I notice the signal strength improved since yesterday on the system. Maybe something has been adjusted. :)

It's hearsay, but ran into a firefighter last week that said EMS and fire will remain the same.

Can't find any documentation on the city council site or the Summit radio system website that says otherwise.

There are days that searching for new talkgroups is easy. Kent FD called for help from Stow. Stow asked dispatch to "patch Kent to EMS 3". All traffic showed on 38000. That couldn't have been any easier. Got the talkgroupID and its official name.
