I've used the guy on Craigslist for programming and he's credible. I also purchased a used scanner from him without any problems.
The testing on 39216 was Cuyahoga Falls Engine 4 ... but no idea what they were testing.

Jeff submittted 43024 as Northfield Village FD today. We currently have that info in the wiki, with the note of "possible future".
I know there have been a some discussion in the past about the community nor wanting talkgroups added until we know they are actively used. This helps to keep people less confused, by not having talkgroups etc. that are not or will never be used out of the database. I'd like to honor the spirit of that message.
Can I get some help in confirming the active use of 43024? If it isn't being used (ie., Northfield Village hasn't moved to Summit800), I won't add it just yet.

Yes I've logged a lot of hits today on 43024 but unfortunately haven't been around to hear the traffic, so I'm guessing jeffb has confirmed it as Northfield Village. But I wonder if it's FD or PD. Northfield Village Fire is/has been self dispatched on 423.025, but the Northfield Village Police have been dispatched by Macedonia PD on Macedonia PDs 423.625. The unit "820" mentioned in post 361 above would be a Northfield Police unit. Also is this simulcast?
I have heard both Northfield FD and PD units on 43024 recently. Heard there are still some radio programming issues to be resolved, but changeover to 800 coming "soon". for them and Twinsburg Fire,

few hits on 62416 Norton's fd Fire Tone-Out today. must be programmed into the radios as a back-up.
Just a guess here .. I recall reading where Copley et al Fire Departments received a grant for Station Alerting system .. maybe this is the installation of the new system ??
can anyone help me !! New and bought PRO-649 need cuyahoga falls. There is something about an update? anyone help me get this working!!!!

Sorry it looks like you are out of luck. The PRO-649 is an Analog Conventional only scanner.
Cuyahoga Falls is on the Summit County 800 System which is running a Motorola Type II Trunking System using a mix of Analog and P25 Digital voice. Cuyahoga Falls is using the P25 Digital voice.
Your scanner won't monitor it.

Re-read my post. I specifically stated the system was a Motorola Type II Trunking System. The Moto Type II system can use P25 CAI (voice).
Regarding P25 use in the Summit County system, you should check the Summit County RR database listing.
If you are still confused about P25 CAI's use with Moto Type II systems, here's a link that explains it. Either way the Pro-649 can't monitor it.

Appreciate the reference to the P25 wiki but I'm familar with its use. Your post stated Cuyahoga Falls used P25 digital voice. CF operates on the older (5) site simulcast system which is not P25. There are (3) standalone P25 sites in Summit that will become part of the larger county system in 2015 but the orginal five site system will remain a 3600 mixed mode system until funds to upgrade it to P25 are found.
