Then why does it render a Mototrbo radio without the correct RAS key, unable to monitor it without the RAS key? If it were simply to keep unwanteds from being able to use the repeater, then it would have no effect on monitoring / receiving
Because actual Motorola radios are purposely designed not to unmute when RAS is in use and the radio does not have the proper RAS key programmed in, basically to stop you from buying a radio on eBay and using it to listen or transmit on the system. But the actual voice call transmitted over the air is NOT encrypted. Scanners and decoding software don't care if there's RAS or not and will decode the audio so you can listen.

Listening to each of the frequencies, I only found this data. Can anyone help me with how I can use it to listen to the audio being transmitted? Since DSD detects the audio call, but I can't hear anything...

The system is encrypted with Enhanced Privacy. You can't listen in.

Then there was the RAS debate by an ignorant person...

Google "Motorola RAS"

and "Motorola Enhanced Privacy".

That "Advantage" is another tool Motorola uses, for keeping non-Motorola radios out of the system. That, on top of RAS, prevents most from -hearing- the traffic... 😗

That copied text info has very limited value for figuring out the system. You need to sit on a known control channel for long enough for the channels used for voice and data to populate, several hours of busy use. Then you do a screenshot (photo) of the Channel Activity window and post that with the Event log file.
