Nothing found in most of New England at this time, with the exception of those in CT hearing the NY/NJ sites
With site numbers that high, there are over a hundred sites to still find folks. 117? 122? 124? Thats saying there are at least 124 sites. I will recheck the local stuff here, willing to bet this is going to be in every major US city.

My brother is going to be checking around NYC today. We'll see what's found. Though with what @pro106import is saying about Site 117's control channel in his location, I don't think New Haven could be out of the question either.

ok thanks. all i have here is phase 2 in the Wash dc metro area. my county is phase 2 and the MD 1st System is phase 2 plus a few others. From what I understand it will not do phase 2 unless I am mistaken.

I don't use Unitrunker for voice decoding, only for tracking and logging system activity. It will track the TDMA activity, but won't decode the voice. You need something like SDRTrunk or DSD+ for P25 TDMA.

With 95% confidence, my brother and I can both say that site 117 is in Bridgeport or Trumbull. Its definitely not coming from across the Sound, as there were no indications of a signal from the south at the waterfront park in Bridgeport. The best readings of -41 were on the Merritt Parkway near the top of the hill in Trumbull south of Exit 49.

With 100% certainty, the site is definitely not in New York City or on Long Island.

Because we don't have an exact tower site, I'm not going to submit. I'll leave GTR8000 and W2LIE to make a call as Database administrators who know our history of work for the database.

This is likely on the "Hi-Ho tower" on Booth Hill in Trumbull. That site has had a number of federal agencies in the past, so the likely hood is high this one is there too.

If anybody local wanted to check that with a portable to confirm, it would save a trip and neither of us would be offended at all. 🙂

Here's what we're looking at so far.

View attachment 105110

So...trying not to make assumptions. But, looking at the map visualization, it looks to me like we might possibly be able to expect at least two more sites at some point?

I realize these four may not all be cranked up to 11 yet. Just saying. Why would you build a system in the Tri-State area for a major federal agency, which provides no coverage in New York City itself? And trust me, it doesn't. It was checked in four of five boroughs today. Seems to me like buildout isn't over.

Just my $0.02.

The lack of any sites within the city limits is a bit odd. Keep an eye on those adjacent site lists. Might not hurt to also sniff around the 406-411 band, although unlikely it's certainly possible based on the band plan, and it's a pretty safe bet that they're using APX 8x00 multi-band radios.

I would like to get hold of you sometime and see how you have yours set up. I have both those software as well. I am beginning to take the deep dive into the world of SDR trunking.

Site 122 (C I Courthouse) has had zero activity since last Wednesday. In fact, all activity on the site fits in one screen shot.
