Follow-up on East Kentucky Power TRS, etc...

Shawn hears nothing on the EKP Gray Site, I hear nothing on the Henry County site.... But there are a number of freqs licensed to EKP covering a fair amount of the Commonwealth, many of them are VHF-Low and have licenses thru-out the eastern half of Kentucky:

That's correct, no scanner will monitor MOTOTRBO (that's why my note to GRE and UNIDEN each time a new MOTOTRBO or NXDN listing appears)... When looking in the ULS Data Base, the Emission designators for MOTOTRBO will show: 7K60FXE for voice and 7K60FXD for data.

So I guess thats the system that Farmers has switched to also. I was wondering what type of trunked system they had switched to. I used to listen to them and now I know why I dont anymore. DARN!

Farmer's has gone MotoTrbo.... never know when they're on the way to fix your power outage! I can really understand the move, to comply with the move to digital, but it sure hurts not being able to monitor....

Darn, it is an LTR system with at least three freqs so far.... have positively identified two talk groups, monitored at least five others.... but the rub is I can't locate the license in the FCC data.
Don't know whether to leave the system staged or put it online so everyone in the area can have a crack at it....
