Anyone know the UNC-TV techs talk group(s)?
UNC Chapel Hill ITS techs are the only techs I've ever heard, never anything specific to the UNC-TV. Are you sure they have radios of there own?

Just wanted to mention to everyone there were some changes made to several sites in Region 1 on Viper today. You might want to check the database and update your scanners if needed.

Confirming yes they do have them. They may just be using one of the listed talk groups you posted. I will get more info and get back shortly

i hate to sound like a dunce, but here goes.....
i have seen these types of changes over the years and have always wondered...what has changed? i ask this publically as i can't be the only one who sees this and presumes there is more to it than re-arranging the deck chairs.
The control channel might have changed. Compare what is in your scanner or programming software now to the current listing.

gotcha. i always read it as a name change ie: dropped the # or just renamed to what it was etc. which obviously wasn't likely to be right. thanks

That TG is back with callsigns CL11 (partial RID of 29900xx) and Transfer Center (which had a 133xxxx RID)

Hearing joint routine dispatch of LE traffic from Buncombe, Henderson and Rutherford Counties, with the Henderson dispatcher (RID 890043), on VIPER State Event Golf 2 this morning.
Anyone else hearing this or know why they are using an Events channel for routine dispatch?

@N1GAW I'm looking right now on the White Fawn tower and I see a couple of radios joining up in Golf 1 and Bravo 2 but no traffic so far, besides catching the end of a conversation on Golf 1 ("Cabarrus County if you want to get behind all of the family cars that would be great", "secondary escort departed"). I believe the funeral for the Hendo county deputy killed is today.
There's also supposedly a big protest happening in Asheville tomorrow, but we'll see how that plays out.

Thank you @waterbwuk I'm still hearing multiple counties on Golf 2 with what sounds like routine dispatch, though not as frequently.
