New 700mhz VIPER license for Four Oaks NC in Johnston County. Anyone out there know if it is live or future?
It could be the new site that is being built in Benson. Per google maps it is just north of benson near I-95 between Benson and Four Oaks.

Just a minor correction, but TG 41021 “Lake Lure Fire Dept - Dispatch” is actually “Rutherford County Fire TAC 5.” As referred to by dispatch. I can submit a correction if needed.
How common is is to hear far off talkgroups on a local Viper tower? I can understand hearing a neighboring county but last night I was hearing SHP talkgroup 51290 (Wilkes Ashe and Allegheny Counties on the Huntersville tower.
It would depend on atomosperic conditions, if someone connected to your tower/simulcast is on the tgid that would be active. There's also the reason that troop G and F set their patching to connection to "full" so you can hear someone if they're in another district. Different than Troop H does where you can hear dispatch/monroe on any channel connected to the patching (H1, H2, H4, H6 for one. H3 and H5 for the other) but you can't hear a troopers response on those channels unless it's from the TG. For example, If you're connected to H1 but you hear H4 get called, you won't hear the trooper in H4.How common is is to hear far off talkgroups on a local Viper tower? I haven't picked up troop E before. Maybe someone else who lives in the area can advise but I've only picked them up once.OK, that makes alot of sense. Troop F includes Lincoln and Iredell and with all of them being patched, theres probably a good chance that someone will be within range of that particular tower.
I'm surprised at the users that I've heard on that particular tower. Obviously SHP will be heard on it, but I've heard Iredell, Lincoln, and even Gaston county talkgroups on it.
And, any idea how Troop E patches?

With Gaston being on a simulcast, I can hear Troop G and F all day. After a while, it gets really annoying with how busy they are.
Around the July 4th time until about mid August, I would pick up Wake County (C3)

I was able to cross reference a few units on TG: 52242 today. They were NCSHP I (Ida) units.
Aren't Ida also K9 and motor?Ida units have several jobs but are typically SHP Air ops
Here is the list in the wiki...Aren't Ida also K9 and motor?
I know x-ray is Lt-Col.
