All, if you have the ability to run Pro96com or similar that can look at the controller frequency of your nearby NC VIPER sites, I have already found 2 sites recently upgraded from P25 phase 1 to phase 2 and controller frequencies and being changed and /or added. One is Ahoskie that had one of the non controller frequencies designated as a controller while leaving the alternate controller and existing controller the same, and Winfall was using a controller frequency that it wasn't licensed for until the last 2 days or so since I checked it. It's been changed to one of the frequencies on the FCC License for the site now and updated in the listing. Makes me wonder what sites had other changes done as the system gets upgraded. If you have the ability to check sites near you and see anything changed that you can personally verify, please submit them. Thank you (I will be adding the link to submit the changes in a reply to this message)

Nothing will change at the system level except for the TG type and that can be changed with the click of a mouse button. If your receiver is capable of TDMA, it will work just the same as it always does. Same control channels, voice channels, talkgroups, etc.
It is very possible those are the test Control Frequencies mentioned in this post

VIPER Statewide Radio System Discussion
In anticipation of the upcoming July 1, 2025, activation of TDMA (P25 Phase 2), VIPER has been diligently working to allow end-user and radio service shop programmers to start testing and verification. To that end, we have enabled TDMA on a select number of sites distributed across the state...forums.radioreference.com
There are no test frequencies. VIPER will use the same control channels, voice frequencies, and talkgroups, but the modulation will change to TDMA. If you have found new control channels, it is because they were shuffled around, likely from the capacity build-out/realignment that took place several years ago now.
The different control frequency wasn't reported by the same site about 2 months ago when I was driving around in that area and I had my laptop running pro96com and using a ws1040 scanner on the control channel. I always take screenshots when I drive to sites just in case I forget to write down everything on my notepad when I am away. It's easier to look at the screenshot if needed than drive a couple of hours back to the same site a 2nd time.It is very possible those are the test Control Frequencies mentioned in this post

I hope you are correct and it's seamless for everyone, since everyone had the heads up this has been in the works 2 years now. I just received 3 Bcd536 scanners to replace my old faithful pro2096 units. I just updated the firmware, upgraded to nxdn and dmr and programmed them as of last night

The 608xx TGs should be federal going by the numbers. What agency, I dunno. Were they encrypted or did you capture any audio? How about date and time of use? Might help get a feel of the users. I'll plug those in my scanner

Is the data listed in the DB for the Concord site accurate? I added it to my G5 and get nothing, not seeing the site at all. Can pick up Heathway Dr just fine in downtown Concord though...
Correct. It worked with the old data, then I updated to the newly posted data and get nothing.I'm guessing you have programmed it in as a separate site, not combined with the Heathway Dr site?
Have you tried going back to the old data, to see if the update was incorrect?Correct. It worked with the old data, then I updated to the newly posted data and get nothing.
