I saw they were online on my SDS100 when I was driving on I-91. I can just pick up the system from my house in DSD+. That's how I got the talkgroups.
Oh that's super helpful. I wish I was able to pick them up from my house. If I had an outside antenna, i might be able to but I don't think I could. Were you able to ID any of them?

Most were affiliations, only TG 912 had any voice traffic that I saw. I'm running a second instance of DSD+ in my feed computer, so I'm not listening to any audio.

I still hear them on the conventional freqs. Haven't heard any traffic on the P25 yet.
It won't be like flipping a switch. There will be lots of testing by the radio techs to ensure there's good quality in places like big buildings to make sure they can be heard close to 99% of the time. Depending on how they then roll out, non-public safety groups (public works, schools, etc) might go first to further test. That's how West Hartford did their roll out, and I know CLMRN was using the transit buses first for months before CSP moved over.

What rssi do you have on the db from your house? I think mines around 100-110 most often. Nothing has changed that, and I can't get my antenna outside.

Affilations are good though. It means we know they're starting to setup the system.

I'm using DSD+ to watch the system, there's no RSSI with FMP24, but I've attached a screenshot of it to show the signal strength, which isn't the greatest.

I programmed the system in my Unication G5, and can get 4-5 bars if I put it near the window upstairs. Unfortunately, I spend most of my work day downstairs, and I only get 0-1 bars there.

I've also update the wiki with a couple more talkgroups. I see a lot of external patches, but just can't hear anything from where I am.

Does the G5 have a serial mode where it can log like the sds can in proscan?

This is what I'm seeing in DSD+. It looks like a lot of patches on random talkgroups. TG912 seems to be the only one with an actual radio talking on it.

I've yet to figure out how to setup dsd+. I might have to take a look into it again and see what's up
I have the paid Fast Lane version, which is well worth the $25 lifetime subscription. There is a little learning curve, but you can't beat paying about $50 between Fast Lane and an SDR dongle for listening to Phase 2 systems.

LTR system is EMS and DPW (I think, only have EMS turned on). FD has never been on it, PD left a year or two back.

OP25 uses Linux but is free. SDRTrunk uses Windows and is free but a bit more of a learning curve than DSDPlus. Unitrunker does not do P25 Phase 2 but is free and some learning to get it running.

I only noticed a few hours ago my 2nd sdr is gone. Won't pickup anything which sucks.
I'll have to play with sdrtrunk again. Been awhile

I've used OP25, but you have to compile it yourself. There's also different branches, one of which has better audio, so you have to point to it when pulling the files down. I actually ended up making a Google Doc to keep the steps correct. On top of that, you need to be running Linux (I used Ubuntu). For me, it's too much of a hassle to run a second computer (or VM at minimum) for what DSD+ FL can do on Windows.

I'm too far to hear if there's any talking on the system or not.
