C.c. Is 152.1125 is this going to be the only c.c. I also don't see 152.1125 in r.r.'s data base; why is this freq 7 digits and all the rest 6 digit?

Because it is not a legacy wideband 25 KHz channel like some of the WISCOM freqs are/will be. There are still many frequencies that are awaiting ownership transfer and licensing into the WISCOM channel plan. The freq list in the RR database is nowhere near complete.

Also if chilton has e.m. -d.n.r. -marc freq's on it will they be switched over to p25 also? Thanks

No. The WISCOM infrastructure at each site is it's own being. There may be combined TX and multi-coupled RX antennas, but nothing that is analog is going to disappear or otherwise be converted at this point. The system needs to be installed, accepted and used before anything else will happen.

One has to remember that this system is being put up for interoperability. There are no agencies at this point that I am aware of that are going to be using for day-to-day operations.

WISCOM Haven Site on the air

Anyone else hear the control channel on 151.2200 in Sheboygan County?

Sometime during the night the control channel on 151.2200 disappeared. After looking over the WISCOM frequency plan, I found the control channel on a frequency made available to WISCOM by the National Guard on 139.0125.

I also heard a control channel on 151.2200 when I was chasing those supercell thunderstorms on Tuesday (07-20) in Sheboygan area. I heard it again this morning with some band opening here in Milwaukee County.

System ID showed as "0B0Ch-3232" on by BC996.

As of today (7-23-10) Chilton's control channel is currently on 139.2125 Mhz. NAC B0C. It was on 152.0225 yesterday.

anyone know how / what to program for the base and offsets for this system on a BC796D? I have system type set to P25 VHF but I have no clue what to enter for the system specs. It does not track in trunk mode however I can decode the coverage testing loud and clear in conventional mode on each individual freq.

Voice traffic on WISCOM

Just copied voice traffic on 152.6525 NAC:B0C

This is one of the Chilton freqs I think.

Anybody know what license this site is under or is it under a different city?

For Haven and Chilton, are you guys progamming the sites with a band plan or just as a P25 system and adding the known freqs?

There is some discussion going on now whether the 996T's will properly decode and follow VHF P25 systems like WISCOM and Washington County. I tried to enter the WISCOM band plan into the UASD software for our 996 and it won't take it. Apparently a 396XT will take it however.

I'm stumped, but then again it's not hard as my P25 trunking knowledge is about ->| |<- that much.

I have no idea. I have the control channel (152.0225) programmed in as frequency #1 and "Auto VHF P25" and it didn't track the voice traffic I heard the other day. I heard that by having 152.6525 programmed in conventional with a NAC search and it came up B0C. (Running a GRE PSR500.)

So basically the same setup as triryche...

With the 996T and I think the 369T you will have to select Motorola then APCO25. You should not need a band plan.
For the XTs select P25.

Got it. So as long as the CC freqs for the site are known, I'll be good to go.

Has anyone up in the Fox Cities/Waukesha/Sheboygan actually heard any voice traffic yet? And does the state have a plan on which transmitters there going to turn on when anywhere?

As covered in other threads, Chilton and Haven are on the air.

Baraboo, Columbus, De Pere and Eden are scheduled to come on-line during September.

Perhaps the Mods can combine some of these WISCOM threads into one so we don't have to keep track of several individual threads?

I actually heard tactical traffic a week or so ago on Chilton. Haven't heard anything since then but I've been out of town. Lots of radio service testing at times.
