• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I seem to be having an issue programming in a trunking system on an XG-100P.
The trunking system i am attemting to program in is the Alamo Area Regional Radio System (AARRS) In San Antonio Texas
I am trying to program in the Northeast Simulcast system and I cannot for the life of me get it to lock onto CCs.
I have verified the correct trunk frequencies are in. there are 2 possible issues that i can think of.
one
under the IDEN sets the IDs only call for 1 and 9 to be populated. So was i correct in programming 1 for 851.01250 -45 12.5khz FDMA full and
9 851.01250 -45 12.5khz TDMA
two
i noticed when putting in the system ID the system calls for 0D2 so when i enter that sysid and save it it saves at d2 without the zero. is this where my problem lies?
my NAC, and site ID are correct.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have attached the screen shots of my configuration for NAS.

Just spitballing here, but I believe the TDMA should be 6.25kHz. Not sure if it's of any consequence. For a really good programming lesson, I suggest this video on YouTube. Omit the checking of ni transmit and no affiliate, since you obviously have reason to be on the system. The Harris ROM is way simpler and straightforward compared to Motorola and others. The names of some of the identifiers has changed, so he careful if that. I'm going to assume that you have a paid membership to Radio Reference, otherwise you don't have all of the required info to setup the trunking system. It's also very important, actually the most important thing you'll need is the unique ID that's assigned to you on the trunked system. If you don't have this and you key up on that system or have your radio set to auto-affiliate and you're not assigned that ID, you'd better get used to that radio being a really expensive paperweight, be cause they have, and will send out a "kill" command to your radio if that ID isn't assigned. You've been warned.
