It with great news that I write you. ASP has decided to not encrypt the *-DISP channels at this time. No further information will be given.
Fort Smith PD dispatch channel now encrypted as of couple days ago. I’m assuming it’s for good. I guess four encrypted channels wasn’t enough for secret squirrel stuff. So much for public transparency and keeping the public aware.

I signed up. Does ADEM want my law enforcement ID to be emailed?

Thx for website!

It is public on their website so I assume anyone can get them. I do and I'm not affiliated with them in any way.

I'm using a SDS100 to scan and programming it via Sentinel. If I live in NWA, but want to listen to traffic for Troop A, what do I need to include in my Favorite list?

Talkgroups are only broadcast when there is radio requesting the talkgroup logged onto a tower. I doubt you will have much luck with Troop A being in NWA. There is a Troop A feed on Broadcastify you can listen to.

It may be in the database and I may have overlooked it so I wanted to mention it first since I didn't see it, again I may have overlooked it but I picked up a 3433 this morning.
I'm also hearing Benton County Sheriff's Office A and I'm in Greene County.

Do you have your scanner programmed by importing from the database and scanning that or did you manually program? I'm just trying to eliminate a user error issue on programming. I'm not in that part of the state so I can't speak to that particular system. What about the Service Types? Do you have all of those enabled that those TGs are typed as? What about location? Do you have location enabled and maybe your scanner has the wrong location set by zip code?

If you manually programmed (or created your own Favorites List(s)), try scanning the full database and see if you pick anything up. Again, location would factor in to this so make sure it's correct as stated above. Just throwing out some ideas.
I just noticed today that none of the Sebastian county talk groups are talking. I've been listening to them for years. I can't prove it yet, but maybe they've become encrypted. FS Police encrypted not long ago, so I figured more agencies would go that way. Again, I cannot prove the Sebastian county is encrypted. I'm just strangely not hearing them.

Interesting. In the AWIN newsletter that just came to email inboxes, they refer to the MAC channels as Mutual Aid Channels. Someone said not long ago they were Multi Agency Channels. Both fit but it seems Mutual Aid is the correct nomenclature, at least from AWIN in their newsletter.

Mutli agency = OEM/command and control
Regional 1-5
MAC = Mutual Aid Channels since 2004.

Someone a while back said they were told it was really Multi Agency Channels. As you see in the db, it was changed. Per the newsletter terminology from today, it really is Mutual Aid Channel as you say. Thus the reason for my post.

Does anyone hear traffic on the Law Enforcement Pool, Statewide Event, PSAPs, and/or Fire Pool talkgroups in your area? All seem to be divided up by ASP Troops as far as area for each TG(s).

Been listening to AWIN since 2007...not a peep out of any of them.

Maybe I'll set them all up to record for a few weeks to see what I get besides silence.

From just what ive heard they rarely get used. I think they are just kind of one of those talkgroups that get put into every AWIN radio for the Just in Case scenario, like maybe utilized during the eclipse or something like that.

We just hardware linked AWIN Southwest 5 to LWIN GCI4 so NOAA WX Shreveport can talk on AWIN. The hardware is in an AWIN tower.
