Unable to connect to the remote server

from BCDx36HP Sentinel. HomePatrol Sentinel works just fine.

Ideas?

Thanks. I put a network monitor on my connection, and x36 Sentinel is not even trying to check Uniden's FTP server before throwing the error message. As noted, HP Sentinel works just fine for me.

Puzzling. Hopefully Uniden will chime in.

If others are reporting no problems it doesn't sound like it is an issue on Uniden's end. I don't know if uninstalling and reinstalling it might help or not. Or, have you tried restarting y our computer? Sometimes computers do crazy things...

I re-installed that already with no joy. It's obviously not a problem on Uniden's end, but I was hoping Paul might recognize the symptoms. I'm sending him my trace logs of both HP1 and x36 updates. It's a mystery . . . .

I have an order for 5 of these scanners pending; hopefully I can track it down. :(

Edit: No PMs. Here's the log file. Thanks.

I always hate when stuff like that happens...I know what you're going through. I've been "the one" with the issue before with software of various types. Maybe you'll have success with it soon.

He said he is working a series of videos. When he will make them is anyones guess. Only UPMan knows. Something about being to cold in his garage, LOL.

Maybe we can all get together and get UPMAN a space heater for Christmas. Course than some of us would have to Draft a letter of apology to the man's family for keeping him closeted in the garage.

Merry X - mas Paul!

I know videos help users who are on the fence about deciding to buy one. Seeing the scanner in actions and it's capabilities help answer lots of questions. I know that last few short videos released helped me in my decision to preorder one. Same held true for the XT and HP-1.

I agree it'd be great to see more videos. I also know they do take a little time to make.

While I'd really like to see more videos - and I'm sure we will over time - I know that Paul has a family and this is a weekend. With that in mind I would encourage us all to be patient and let him make the videos when he is working and has the time.

Don't confuse MotoTRBO with Motorola X2-TDMA. X2 is for all intents and purposes a flavor of the APCO P25 digital format. MotoTRBO is a flavor of the DMR digital format.

These new radios do not do DMR, but they do do P25, including the X2 variant.
