Its just a marketing game to hype up the radios. Thats it. Uniden has hundreds of 48 ft shipping containers full of these new units sitting in their where houses somewhere just waiting to ship.
Its no mystery whats so ever. They have plenty of radios to ship to everyone that wants one. They have been planning this for years now and they have their slave labor over in China or Tawiian making more as I speak.
People will just get their radios in the order that it was received.
Care to share the source of your "information?"
First failure - the 536 is made in Vietnam, so much for your China/Taiwan theory.
Second failure - 48 ft shipping containers are rarely, if ever, kept in warehouses, as they are needed back in the shipping supply chain too rapidly.
Third failure - I seriously doubt that Uniden started planning for this product launch years ago - more likely they were working on the launch of the then current products.
Fourth failure - I am 100% certain that had Uniden given a hard date that you could see one of these sitting in a retailer and missed that date by so much as one day, those of your ilk would have been calling them liars and cheats.
Ultimately, since your "information" as to where these are actually made is bogus, the rest of your protestations are merely transparent attempts at sullying the reputation of what is actually one of the greatest, most innovative consumer electronics companies in the world today. Whistler employee, perchance?
And no, I am NOT a Uniden employee - just an intelligent, informed consumer.
Tired of the blatant FUD being thrown around in here.
