I get Troop H near me.
Just picked up activity on TG 3039 on the Troop G simulcast site. Couldn't catch who was the user, sounded they were running a name.
Thanks for that info. My question is..are these the same sites as with the old system? If the answer is yes then why can't I get the new system when the old system came in loud and clear.
Thanks for that info. At least I know I wasn't out of my mind when I did hear Troop H after the conversion.Looking at site F monitoring logs for the past week..there was H activity until the morning of 6/18. After that, all radio affiliation requests to TG 351 (H Disp 1) are Denied. Perhaps the disappearance of H activity on F's site is an administrative decision rather than technical/architectural.
is your antenna specific for the 800 band or is it full vhf uhf 7/800? might be outside of the wavelength? just a thought. what kind of cable are you using and connector at antenna? these all have factors into receptionI have an outside antenna on my roof and that hasn't done a thing. I'm sure more changes might be coming and I will take that ride to see when I start picking it up. Thanks again for your help and insight.
FYI I found out the HP II does *not* follow control channels. Youll need to all all frequencies for the site in and it scans it one by one. I guess that's a SDSxxx and BCDx46 feature only...Question. my SDS100 receives the CSP on the new system thanks to @WoodburyMan . My HPII though does not receive it even though I loaded the same database, and the control channels from that list are on it. But the main thing I am curious about is my BCD325P2. I use FreeSCAN to program that one. It pulls from RR Database. Will the control channels you linked to eventually make their way onto the database so I can just run an import and it will work like before?
I am not the most adept with manual programming ...
No issues with cable or antenna. I was picking up Troop H after the conversion until 6/18 and for years before that. Everything else comes in fine so the issue seems to be power or the direction the new signal is coming off the sites or a change in sites. Antenna is a full vhf/uhf that has served me well for many years.is your antenna specific for the 800 band or is it full vhf uhf 7/800? might be outside of the wavelength? just a thought. what kind of cable are you using and connector at antenna? these all have factors into reception
Don't pick them up on my BCDx46 either.FYI I found out the HP II does *not* follow control channels. Youll need to all all frequencies for the site in and it scans it one by one. I guess that's a SDSxxx and BCDx46 feature only...
I can get a very weak signal from the Troop C simulcast from the northern parts of enfield/suffield but haven't had any luck with Troop H. If I put the CC in as a conventional it drops in and out frequently.Don't pick them up on my BCDx46 either.
That's not true at all. The HP-2 is perfectly capable of trunk tracking a P25 system with only the control channel programmed, as is nearly every other modern Uniden digital scanner (HP-1, 396 series, 996 series, x36 series, SDS series, etc.) If your HP-2 is not properly tracking the CSERN system, then something else is going on.FYI I found out the HP II does *not* follow control channels. TG 23706 encrypted this morning. Testing maybe?
I would try programming a NEW system with all of the published frequencies and scan in ID SEARCH mode.I have programmed the BCD325P2 using both FREE SCAN and Butel Software and I am not receiving anything on CSERN.

If you scroll to a working Control Channel that is coming in on the 325P2, you'll see the ID for the transmitter.
Simulcast distortion. The SDS series was specifically designed to handle it, the older models...not so much.I would be curious to know what is going on. The HPII has the Favorites List with the same setup as my SDS100. The SDS100 tracks it just fine, the HPII is silent on any CSERN.

The BCD325P2 is a separate issue I think because I use FreeSCAN on that one and it pulls from the RR database. I know it is capable of P25, but something in the programming is preventing it from tracking any CSERN.
Long story short - as of right now the only scanner I own that I can hear any CSERN is the SDS100.
