I've looked at at both Florida and Ohio and I'm not seeing where you mentioned. Will you please include a screenshot of the location or a better description on how to get there?

I was thinking the same thing. But I found it. I used to know where it was, but I rarely ever had to access a deprecated system and the database system had been overhauled -- so I simply forgot and couldn't figure it out. At least not until @trumpetman gave me hope that the option was still there somewhere.

  • Navigate to North Carolina in the DB
  • CLick on Menu at the top right and select Trunked Systems
  • Scroll down to the bottom of that page and click on Deprecated Systems

Okay, Thanks everybody for clearing that up and now we know how to find links to depreciated systems.

Going by the old zoning, I am going to draw a speculate that perhaps Supergroup 64808 is North Coastal Region (Zone 2).

North Coastal Region (Zone 2)

Lines up pretty well with these members of SG: 64808

Code:

And also, perhaps that Supergroup 62870 is North Coastal Region (Zone 4).

North Coastal Region (Zone 4)

9962158,D,WILD-25897-BBT,TG:62870,SYS:2D7,RFSS:26,SITE:26

I realize this is just based on a very small sample size, and that also, these supergroups could hold more members, and that also perhaps regions have been consolidated, but if we use the old layout, it kind of works fairly well overall.

I also have 16428910,D,SmartZone_NFE-,TG:64864,SYS:2D7,RFSS:26,SITE:26 that doesn't seem to belong, but I pulled that from a sample from a year or so ago, and I think that may have been a TG just for a p25 to smartzone 'patch', I have not observed this alias in quite some time.

Is the page for the old Duke Energy FL Smartzone system still online? I've noticed the link for it has vanished, just wondering if the page was still up by any chance for viewing. I was wanting to look at the old talkgroup values/names/descriptions and see if I could pair them with the newer values now that we have some hints with the talker aliases.
The old system in Polk and lake county been offline for a few months. Can’t speak for the rest of Fl sites.

I don't know if I'll be a help or a hindrance (first time playing with this). I only see the following from a SW Ohio site. The FME tui never shows any targets or sources.

Yesterday noticed a update for DSDPlus. I downloaded the new one and decide to run the duke p25 and see what happens. I'm guessing FL-2 is Zone 2? TG DE 62790 according to the RID it is lakewales also shows FL_2 Port.Screen Shot 11-18-23 at 10.04 AM.PNGScreen Shot 11-18-23 at 10.03 AM.PNG

That's great, the NC system isn't really active yet except for testing and techs so I'm not seeing much and it's not really worth full time monitoring yet. Have you tried opening the Packet Data window (under windows tab) yet? The info is probably encrypted but it's fun to see what is available. My guess is the 996xxxx radio IDs are not using regular radios, but rather VoIP, which is why alias doesn't show. Thanks for sharing the screenshots!

I haven't done the packet data window. I just opened it. I know the old system is offline around me. I'll run the data packet and see what happens.

Nothing popping up on the data packet when a tg is active or gps movement.

Okay, it doesn't happen usually with voice activity, it is a separate stream on same system. Others have reported getting it, myself included, so I thought you might be able to see it. Maybe leave the window open when monitoring the system just to see if over time you don't get something.

I did a test on a few p25 systems by me and data packet on Control CC Monitor & Combined. The DP worked on the Combined side.

I'm using the newest dsdplus 443 and noticed tg 5-680 & 16-1322 & 16-1982 with some freqs with it. None of those freqs match to Duke Energy.

Does anyone know DDT stand for? I see BBT TRK DDT
I saw somewhere BBT=Big Bucket Truck TRK= Truck
Well, if google search is anything to go by, my shoddy guess of Big Bucket Truck is probably wrong. I found these two regarding linemen, but didn't find any of the other ones. Still going to assume TRK is truck, but only because the same google search didn't give any more reasonable results.

DDT = Distribution Design Technician?

I think you are monitoring multiple trunk systems on DSD+.
In the screenshots you provided, traffic is coming in on 851.150, 851.1375, 851.1625, and 851.375 MHz. All of these are NPSPAC frequencies (which aren’t available to be licensed by business entities. Only Public Safety entities.)

I did a quick search in your area:
851.150 MHz – Could be State of Florida WPJS416 or Manatee County WQCS228
851.1375 MHz – Could be State of Florida WQWK943 or Orange County WPWQ701 / WNXI285
851.1625 MHz – Could be Pinellas County WPJR956 or Orange County WQBY868 / WPEM570
851.375 MHz – Could be Highlands County WQPX528 or Hillsborough County WPDV262 / WPHE897

I saw those when I did a search. I don't know how those popped in the duke system. I'm just locked in the control channel for site 15 (not monitoring multiple systems).

I just fired up the dsdplus and got another TG with RID with alias.

So far on TG for FL 62789 HLDS DCC (highlands county fl) 62790 LKWS DCC (lakewales in polk county fl) Not sure in FL if they are changing Zones for each area in FL.

Maybe a cross patch? Also, Distribution Control Center (DCC)
