the pdf from the powerpoint only shows two talkgroups eci and eci t1. So i take it they must have changed and added a talkgroup.

Based on the county designations in their TG list, would you say 306 is TAC 1 and 307 is TAC 2?

Everyone seems to be going off the PowerPoint presentation. Please note that there are talkgroups on this system that were not on the presentation...

That being said, 306 is ECI dispatch - not a TAC channel. 307 is a TAC channel - so that is TAC 1. TAC 2 or "Frequency 2", although not on the new system, remains 155.220 MHz analog.

It's no different than the other departments...
Erie Fire has a dispatch channel, and TAC channels.
Millcreek Fire has a dispatch channel and TAC channels.
West/South/East fire departments each have a dispatch channel and TAC channels.
The dispatch channels for those are not considered TAC 1 - and neither is EmergyCare dispatch (306).

I've been wondering why I haven't heard anything on TG 109, East County Fire. And just now I heard them dispatching on the county paging channel 453.95. So apparently they don't simulcast this TG to west Millcreek?

Can confirm. TG 305 is Tac 1 (used to dispatch units) and 306 is Tac 2 which is to be used for major incidents or special events.

KGD, Freq 2 is still used by Emergycare’s wheelchair units.

I think you may mean TAC 1 is 306 and TAC 2 is 307?

So what do people think of the quality of audio on the system? I have the 436/536, and I'm curious about those listeners with the 996p2 and SDS100/200 scanners. What scanner seems to be doing the best?

Well, then I apologize for the misinformation as things changed apparently.

ECI was supposed to have a dispatch and TAC like the rest of the fire agencies - but apparently ECI calls their dispatch TAC 1 and their TAC channel is TAC 2. Doesn't conform to the rest of the system, layout but to each their own I guess.

Yes, F2 has been used by the wheelchairs AND air medical coordination for as long as I can remember, so... But still, it remains an operational frequency for ECI.

In a way it does. The 911 center dispatch is on 305 just like fire on 101, 109, 114 & 119. So you have a dispatch channel followed by 2 TAC channels. What ECI does on TAC 1 is up to them. When leaving the fire scene this morning they went "Back to TAC 1"

TG 124 is being used for Edenboro Home Coming activities. I'm not going to open the can of worms as to what to call it at this point.

probably if they are using a multi agency talkgroup as other services radios would not have the keys loaded for encryption.

SO back to emergycare

305 Dispatch
306 tac 1 ( main response )
307 tac 2 ( Secondary channel)

Yes.

police would have to be unencrypted if they are using a multi agency talkgroup as the other services radios would not have encryption. But their main law enforcement only channels would be encrypted.
