location of the towers
i am just north of the 2 northern towers 3.5 miles to one 5.5 miles to the other one
might be the reason i am getting what they call simulcast distortion ?
curious what your using for a scanner ?

I'm pretty much directly north of the Collins tower, right along the lakeshore. I am using a Unication G4. Crystal clear audio, which is awesome.

I'm hearing the new system loud and clear up here in Vermilion Twp. I've only heard Huron County SO so far. Cannot wait until Erie County decided to go with a trunked system, or at least digital.

Make sure you program in all of the other talkgroups that @dth1958 has mentioned as being seen active (made actual calls). You should be hearing quite a few more talkgroups besides Huron Co So based upon the call logs that DTH has shown. Yes, a couple talkgroups may be ENC, but a most weren't -- at least while testing.

I haven't been keeping real up to date with @dth1958 's logs, as they are voluminous. But there have been a few more talkgroups seen if you go and look at all of logs that he attached to various posts recently.

"952" talking to some dispatch doing testing in various locations. Dispatch asked him to give a call when he was back in the "cruiser". So I'm guessing it's some PD.

I guess the next question is, what PD has a unit 952 ?

Of course, that still won't tell us what talkgroup it is necessarily, since they could be testing on any talkgroup and not a particular agency's main dispatch.

Pretty good audio though, although one of the two likes to swallow the mic from time to time.

2nd location (southwest side of town)
