Awesome.. Will be nice to be able to look through any new transmissions from unknown talkgroups to try and figure out the purpose of the talkgroup.

If there isn't a lot of activity on it, you might want to make sure your offline-alert is set to some value significantly higher than the normal (I forget what the default is) so that you don't get false positives in your email claiming that the feed is offline -- when in fact there just haven't been any transmissions for a while

Thanks for setting that up.

Sounds like TG 25624 might end up being Greenwich PD

Are you confident of that? 7xx units, 705 and 701 I think it was. Are 7xx Greenwich? I wouldn't know since I"ve never monitored them.

And if anybody reading this thread does know the typiccal unit numbers in use by all the various law enforcement, let me know so that I can add it to the Huron County main wiki. Right now there is just EMS information in the wiki (the county wiki, not the trunked system wiki)

Your fears seem to be founded. I get it. All my county LE (podunk Carroll Co) is ENC also. Makes you wonder just what they need to hide.

I am in your Area. From what I can gather poking around on here if I was to purchase a Scanner capable of monitoring P25 MARCS including Carroll, Tusc, and Stark County Simulcast, UHF, and VHF what I am seeing most often is the SDS100 and SDS200. Are those the best options or are there some better? I want to monitor all 3 simultaneously.
Thanks

If you truly want to monitor one or more simulcasts, then you can't go wrong with an SDS100 or SDS200 (other than the fact that they are expensive). Despite what you may read on the forums, they do exactly what they are supposed to do with simulcast sites -- they copy them fine. I think that you will enjoy an SDS100 (handheld) or an SDS200 (base/mobile). I don't have an SDS200 but would like to have one. Both of them have the same capabilities though as far as monitoring a combination of conventional frequencies and multiple disparate trunked systems at a time.

Listening to the archives I heard a whole bunch of 500 units calling 3900 on 25624; if the 500 units are Wakeman PD, that would be my guess.
