Nope, never seen it, and I own two HP-1E units.

I had this happen also. I think the MicroSD was corrupted when I had a battery drain abruptly during a record playback. I reformatted the card, reloaded the backup, and have not had a problem since. Knock on wood...

Where can I find out more about trying a SDR to TRY and deocode a simulcast system here that Uniden and a PRO96 cannot decode more than 25% worth? A dozen towers and a yagi pointed at only one and I still can't get it to work. Is there a group here where I can discuss SDR on a simulcast 800MHz / 700MHz system? 73

Actually there is a whole forum devoted to SDR.
Feel free to look over all the forums (and the Wiki) here at RR
as there is a good chance there is already a forum (or Wiki page) devoted
to any aspect of radio monitoring DC->Daylight.
