If I missed it, sorry. But on the BCD160/260DN does 25-512 mhz mean there are no breaks? Mainly is 380-400 mhz covered? If so, can you set the channel steps to 25khz am 225-400 mhz, especially from 380-400 as you cannot on some scanners? Is there an owners manual available?

Here's the Band Defaults for the 260. The 160 doesn't include the 1240 to 1300 band.

Hoping the mode can be changed too. I had the Icom 52A and sold it due to Icom locked down changing modes in certain frequencies. Would have kept it if I could make those changes.

Not gonna get political. I'm sure you understand. Jokes are one thing, but politics need not be discussed.
For the record....you don't sound confused, it was just a joke. Thanks for coming here and answering our questions 🙂

I read earlier, that the BCD160DN, won't have close call. But that it will have band scope mode.
Will there be a way to save a channel from band scope mode?
I have a bcd325p2., I can't figure a way to save a channel/frequency from band scope mode to a group. But I can from close call or search.
I'm looking for the ideal hobbyist scanner for frequency hunting at local race tracks. The bcd125at works well except for inability to quick save ctcss/dcs codes if you don't catch them just right when you originally save the channel. The dial a code takes way too long when you are trying to watch the action. I tend to take the bcd325p2and use number tags for the car numbers, because you can quick save the codes for a stored frequency much easier. The lack of close call on this new scanner, is kind of a bummer for me.

Please don't hold me to the December 26th date. These are all estimates. Official expectation is Q1 2024 but I'm hoping they come in a little early.
You couldn't bring it out before the Christmas shopping season? That's a big miss..

then while you wait just ask for other models for under the tree, thats what im doing, same goes for the stockings, maybe santa will bring a new scanner thats a old model on ebay for cheap, lol, i am asking for scanners for christma, lol
No interest in any others. Waiting on Uniden and Icom to come out with their new handhelds. Leaning towards Icom if they don’t neuter it like the 52a was nueter.

Did Uniden send out Demo models to anyone (i.e. for actual testing)? I'd be really curious how the receive sensitivity and intermod rejection on airband compares to the BCT-15X.
