@jsoergel Could you add this to the unconfirmed TGID list?

TGID: 49011 | Washington County towers | All transmissions so far have been encrypted | Possibly MPD84DISP

Marietta PD's new radios finally got here Friday and day shift used them for most of their traffic yesterday, night shift seems to be using UHF still mostly, and day shift is all on MARCS again today except for the captain that was on UHF a while ago. I'll wait and make sure that's them on that talkgroup but I'm thinking it probably is.

Done. Let me know if you submit it so I can take it off the list.

Marietta PD units are still having trouble with malfunctioning microphones on at least one of their mobile radios, and the officer said, "I can't wait until the week after the [some kind of event] when we get new radios." It sounded like he said Sternwheel Festival but I don't think so because we had that already this year and the fan was running so I think I misheard him. Either way, sounds like that switchover to MARCS I mentioned back in March is gonna happen soon.

One of the very biggest problems I see in public safety radio is dept's that won't send broken radios in to get fixed. In this case, it sounds like they have broken speaker-mics, or vehicle mics, and don't have spares like they should have.
Nothing I hate more than hearing PS users complain about their radios when it's obvious they aren't sending broken radios to get fixed. And they don't keep spare mics, antennas, and batteries around. Even a spare radio or three...

Did Fairlawn PD in Summit County now move full time to Cuyahoga Falls PD dispatch in the Summit County Emergency Communications Center?

Brimfield Fire … anyone else have issues with the automated dispatch being extremely loud and garbled ? The dispatch comes from Kent dispatch and their automated dispatch is fine ( although why Kent chose a voice that sounds like a 3 year old girl, is another story ! ) Any thoughts on why the announcement is so crappy ?

Yes KW, Brimfield Fire auto dispatch is horrible here in Aurora also. They need to take a listen to Cuyahoga Valley and Akron automated systems to use as a model.

I've found that to usually be poorly adjusted audio at the TX end causing distortion. Only fix is for the audio to be properly adjusted.

I guess I’ll send an e mail to Kent , asking them to check the audio for the automated dispatch.

the Hoosier state, baby.
Monitoring Preble County’s New Paris site (774.33125). Got the SDS200 searching and happened upon TGID 53140. I don’t see it in the database. Everything is encrypted. Two RID’s logged: 9300450 & 9300465. 465 seemed to be the primary communicator, for lack of a better term.

I have it on the Wiki page. I think it’s likely BCI or HIDTA/OOCIC, but no way to confirm.
