I have been using TTD for a while now with no problems, we decided to change the email address that the messages come from from our city name to our county name. All was working just find before but now none of the messages are going thru, I get these errors, see below. I have done the 2 step verification (didnt work) I have done the app password (didnt work) rebooted everything and did the app password again and it worked, but now a couple of days later is rejected the message for the next call that we got, any ideas? any opinions using someone other than gmail?

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

1234567890@mms.att.net

Technical details of permanent failure:
Message rejected. See https://support.google.com/mail/answer/69585 for more information.

App passwords allow 2-Step Verification users to access their Google Accounts through apps such as Mail on an iPhone or Mac, or Outlook. We'll generate the app passwords for you, and you won't need to remember them. Learn more

No Detections

So 3 days ago my TTD65D just stopped decoding. (win 8.1) has been working flawlessly for months with no reboot. I have been watching the debug screen as the various calls are being transmitted and although the program sees the audio, it never sees the tone set. The volume hasn't changed on the radio (M1225 hooked to our radio tower great reception) this computer is completely dedicated to recording and paging. I downloaded win 10 last night and TTD68. Same results. Not decoding calls. Log info below. Its like it doesn't see the tones.cfg file? There were multiple calls last night...also included is the tone info.

[Tone1]
Atone = 1122.5 ;A tone frequency in Hz
Btone = 1321.2 ;B tone frequency in Hz
Atonelength = .9 ;Length of A tone (in seconds) that must be seen to generate an alert
Btonelength = .9 ;Length of B tone (in seconds) that must be seen immediately following the A tone in order to generate an alert
Description = 52 Fire ;Tone set description

[Tone5]
Atone = 1321.2
Btone = 1357.6
Atonelength = .9
Btonelength = .9
Description = Squad 151
gaplength = 2
record_delay = 3

Do you really need the gaplength = 2 in there? If you don't have a good reason for using the gaplength parameter, remove it. Then restart TTD and see if that changes things.

I haven't changed any of these settings in 4 years. I am recording for 10 tone sets and some have the gap at 2 others have no gap at all....what is the significance?

I think I found the issue. Though this machine is a year old I think I blew the sound card. Setting the gap tone to 1 for all the tone sets made it record again but there is horrible to no audio being recorded.

Issue with Program

Tone not being sent out. I look in the Log files and a debug file shows the following (please see PDF attached). After restart of computer, it seems to work for a couple of days and then the same issue happens. Any and all help is appreciated!

Thanks

Jeff

Andy - great program and resource thank you.

I'm a new user and have had success but seem to have a strange issue. Using a Bearcat 560XLT both twotonedetect and twotonefinder are detecting tonesets (then subsequently, recording, converting, emailing) but are not seeming to detect longtones at all. There is no text file to show here as nothing even comes up on the scroll in the debug versions when a longtone is played.

Must have been a reception issue. Moved the scanner to a higher location in the house and seems to be working fine. Thanks for the input.

There are no errors in this log file, everything appears to be working normally on the TTD end of things.

I can send emails through the admin function in the config editor, but TTD will not send emails - it gets the "Email not sent on attempt 1trying again in five seconds for " message

Ideas?

Admin Messages cont.

Instead of it being part of the Tones Editor, how about a separate file like AdminMessage.exe. You could run it and bring up a message send box after it pulls the remote config. You could then put a check by the name of each of the tone sets you want to message, type your message and send. Would something like that be less confusing and better?

Marvin

Andy,
I have something else to add to the thought about Admin Messages not being part of the Tones Editor. The other day, I had to send an Admin message to all 10 of my tone sets. I just needed to send a message and not attach any files. It took a little bit of time clicking on each Tone Set and then telling each one no I did not want to attach a MP3 or a AMR file. If you could made an admin messenger program, could it have choice boxes that you check which tones you want to send a message and choose if you want to attach any files. Normally when I need to send a message, I do not make a prerecorded file to attach, I just need to send the message.

Sounds great. Currently in the middle of building a new box and will have to reload the software. Since the crash, everyone online who depends on it, really wants me to get it up and going.

Looking forward to the upgrades.

New (for me) addition...

Andy-

I recently downloaded and upgraded to Version 68 from 63. I noticed there's now a check box to extend recording for stacked pages... How long does it extend the recording, etc.? Currently, I have extended the recording time to offset another tone hit after the initial one was set-off. I extended it by four seconds...

Any more info would be great..

Thank you.

Ryan, i believe that it doesn't really "extend" the recordings. It actually detects that a susequent tone us being sent and delays the start of the audio recording until all the stacked tone sets have completed. So say you have a 30 sec. recording length set. That 30 seconds starts at the end of the last stacked tone. It works well. Sometimes our dispatchers will stack up to ten tone sets. Without this feature, the first tone sets would only hear the other tones and miss the message.

If this is true -- that is an amazing feature... We often get stacked pages for Information, and do pager testing... That would be just amazing! :)

It will skip recording the stacked tones at the beginning of the recording as long as all of the tones in the "stack" are in the tones.cfg file. Basically what the program does is throw out any audio it has recorded each time it detects a new tone set in the "stack", but it needs to know that tone sets to look for.

Trying to get TTD up and running

Operating system Windows 7
TTD version V68
Only 3 pages went out properly on this computer, many did not.

I have used the debug tool, error message:

SMTPSenderRefused: (501, '5.5.2 MAIL FROM syntax error', '4sure')

TTD receives the tones, creates the audio file, does not send the page out
