Bob,

I found this app called AppCrashView. It basically looks at any application crashes. Here is what it picked up for the ProScan Issue. Maybe you can see something a bit clearer through this. I am also trying another test with BitDefender, which is also running on the same system. I wonder if BitDefender is picking up at a point in time when ProScan writes to a protected file and then bounces ProScan because it will not allow it to write to the file. So I am turning off the file protection module on BitDefender to see if that will make a difference. In the interim, look through the data from AppCrashView. Also, where do I find the data that your debugging software is capturing? Thanks!

Try copying ProScan from C:\Program Files (x86) to Documents and make a shortcut to the new location, also move the record location to someplace other than default (I have a folder in Documents/Scanner-Recordings)

Windows likes to make everything in Program Files read-only and that can cause weird things to happen. (I know it will write everything in AppData) but I would give this a try

Here is what my folder setup looks like.

attachment.php

All 7 of my ProScan's record to the same recording location.

I also keep the original "default install" in Program Files (but don't run/use it). That way when a new version comes out, I let it do the default install. Then I just copy everything from the inside of that folder and paste it into all my installs that reside in the document folder. Doing it this way makes for a really quick and easy update.

ProScan is the best scanner program I have ever used. I run 2 feeds a web-server and 7 ProScan Remote Scanner Over IP that all run 24-7 on the same machine. Hope you get everything straightened out!

Hi all...hope someone can help me with this..probably very simple except for me...Charter cable modem started to die yesterday, they replaced it this a.m. Everything on my system is working fine, except Proscan...536HP scanner, Proscan 12.6, using static IP, when I load Proscan, the virtual scanner comes up, but with the display not showing anything...I believe, the audio is working, the virtual scanner looks like, on the face of it, that it is turned off, but I have heard some sound. Checked all the settings, everything looks ok, but no display...checked Norton firewall, Proscan allowed....at best, I am lost...hope someone tells me the simple answer....thanks....

I would check the scanner Wi-Fi IP address is the same as the ProScan URL address, both the data and audio.

I have ProScan v 12.6 installed in it's default directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)

I'd like to save my scanner recording files in a different folder, on my D: drive. I don't see anywhere in configuration that allows me to change this. Do I need to install the entire application in a folder on the D: drive, rather than the C: drive?

Thanks

I just experienced a little issue with ProScan. I had the software open and switched to Always On Top and Display Only Borderless...now the window is no where to be found but ProScan is showing up in my task by or in the application window switcher but I cannot bring it back into view? Does it store window position in the registry that I could reset?

Go to the Recording Options. Click the Recordings Location button. Select a folder.

Config is stored in ProScan.cfg.
1. Stop ProScan
2. Edit the ProScan.cfg file
3. Delete the line [WINDOW BOUNDS]=275,238,1189,764
4. Restart ProScan

Is there any way to get a count of how many search frequencies you have locked out permanently to see if you've reached the limit?

And, is there a way to make it do the "snap to" thing with the mouse pointer Windows setting when you get a pop-up Yes/No box.

Bob I can not find the digital waiting time for p25 and one trunk p25 could you tell me how to set it in proscan favorites editor

Digital Waiting Time is a param on Conventional systems only. It's located at the system level node. Scroll to the right and it's the 3rd param from the right side.

Snap to what? Probably not. Message boxes pop ups are designed to auto center.

The Control Panel in Windows has a mouse setting called "Snap-To". When it's checked, the mouse pointer automatically jumps and positions itself to the highlighted / selected button whenever an application gives you a pop-up prompt.
