Srch Tab

I must be getting too old .... When I select the
SRCH TAB and have NO search ranges (obj) there ... There is a box with info inside of it.

When I add search ranges at least 20 different search ranges (objs) ... the last one is lower than the existing box .... it does not disappear and covers the last several items. Or you could say it over-writes the box and wording in the box. Groups / Channels above the box covers several columns of the search range added.

Still a great program .... used them from 93 on up

Arghh.

That's probably related to the bug I fixed in version 1.60. That is, adding the "note" box to the fixed-size grids (when you don't have any data entered in those grids) probably changed the SRCH/SWPR grid to "not so fixed in size", allowing it to overwrite the information below it.

I'll investigate.

Anyone else seeing this?

When I use default User Interface Settings - List Row Height = 14 the column headings are unreadable.

When I change the User Interface Settings - List Row Height = 16 the column headings are readable but the Battery Settings, Scan Lists, Welcome Text, etc . all go haywire.

See thumbnails below.....1st two are before....2nd two are after

When you go to monitor/control and hit START without having a logging directory specified you get an error message that the directory doesn't exist. However after adding the directory the START button will not work until you exit win500 and restart it. Minor bug but I thought I'd let you know.

Hi Don, I am trying to do a conventional web import of this system
http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?ctid=2975
and it will not show up using Win 96,97 or 500 is this something on this sites end or what ?
Thanks, ken

I just tried it in Win96 and had no problems...

File, Web Import, Radio Reference, Conventional
Enter username/password, click Start
United States, Washington, Kitsap

I then imported all 46 frequencies that appeared in the tree at the bottom into bank 0... no problem.

No Mode Choice for SWPR Objects in Win500

I noticed there is no Mode choice for SWPR objects. The cell in the column is blank and offers no selection of AM, FM etc.
I suspect this is because the Mode is predetermined by the PSR-500.
Correct ?

I have a weird issue. About 3 times now, after doing an upload to scanner, my PSR600 has said "file system reset to factory default"
1.62 here with cpu version 1.6

Is this a known issue, or do I have something set wrong?

Thanks,

Steve

I also have a PSR600. I have uploaded from Win500 about a dozen times in the last week. I have never had that happen to me. There might be a setting that is doing that?

Yes, I have seen the same results on a wide-screen monitor.

No problem with a "standard" 4:3 monitor.

Win500 neither knows nor cares about monitor aspect ratio, screen resolution, etc. (the only exception being that you must have sufficient "room" to display the program in its minimum size).

In fact, Win500 was developed on a "widescreen" (16:10, 1920x1200) monitor, and was demoed in the GRE booth in Dayton on a "widescreen" laptop.

I'm running Win500 on a Virtual XP system using VMWare server on a fast Linux host. It's working great except the audio to the remote client has intermittent brief dropouts. This even over Gigabit Ethernet, so I suspect it's a cpu or sound subsystem issue, not network. They're very brief, but just annoying enough to make it hard to understand some transmissions.

I'm wondering if there are any tweaks I can make to any settings in Win500 that might help.
Or if any VMWare experts know any VM tweaks that may help, I'd appreciate it.
I may move it to a real computer
